4th edition Sci Fi game Idea

I had thought about a falling skies like Campaign, but using stuff I have for the aliens I would use (Mindflayers) but use there other name sounds more Sci Fi Illithid give them space ships and advanced Tech throw in some of there friends (intellect devourers) or there other more Sci Fi name ustilagor, Ulitharid as the main comanders of the race who in turn serve the elder brain.

Other Ideas Illithidae as cross bread human Illithid experiments, Mind Worms to put in side people to use them for assassins and hunters, Nerve Swimmers, Illithid symbionts.

Humanity I broken Only ragtag survivors remain A constant struggle to survive The elder brain Has come to earth to harvest the whole of humanity for food. Unknown to most the only reason we have not been wiped out is due to they need us to breed and make more we are there cattel their food source. Now I am going to use this as one of my alternate worlds that I am going To have My players visit. The group as a whole are going to be traveling through alternate realities and and times like doctor who mixed with sliders but with no control device at the start (Two of their former group had stayed back to try and control the Transdimensional Temporal Gateway) This means that the gate will open upon different places (the ones in control of the device have no idea what their doing as their at a nexus point where the whole of spacetime is so weak it can be manipulated by outside means. They are in pursuit of an alien being that is causing temporal events and feeding of the energies thereof.

So what you think too involved or what my imagination I some times over do it?

Ok just did some photo manipulation and created the Alien who the characters are after a multidimensional being known as the faceless man here is a pic

The group are going to wake up in a arizona desert alone with no memory of how they got there (this is to transfer the players from another system to this 4th edition one so the characters will have redone characters from old game in this new 4th edition one) so same characters just 4th edition rules (my players hate making new characters this way they think they're old revised ones but really their new ones, same campaign but with more twists. I am thinking of five alternate earths 1) the survival alien world as noted above 2) An old west type with robots who rule and and humans are subservient to them advanced lost technology is forbidden for humans. 3) modern now setting with a mutating virus that has caused a third of the population to change giving them strange powers. 4) A medieval world with no magic over ran with spider like creatures who come from the center of the world there motives are unknown 5) A future setting ran by megacorporations, genetic manipulation and cyber enhancement are common place, but something lurks in the shadows. I will be like running five games at the same time with the characters moving from one to the other. The story arc has to do with all five and the nexus world and the faceless man, going to take some time to entwine the plots all into a big over all story

Right now, you need to see if you can find a copy of 4e Gamma World. It's a 4e-ified Mutants/Superpowers/Weird Tech game. It might be hard to find, but if you can... a lot of the work will have been done for you.

Also I wish to subscribe to your newsletter.

I am using ultramodern4e and some of the stuff that company has put up on there web sight also made the character sheet for it that he put up on his face book page and i put it up here as well I am (hellfist)

I truly don't see how the whole spelljammer thing would work as nothing to do with magic old ships in space or the spellweave or earth or any thing to do with hard core sci fi. Anyway decided to change the location of 2) An old west type with robots who rule and and humans are subservient to them advanced lost technology is forbidden for humans. to Mars as a mining outpost with the atmosphere having been converted but due to bleeding it sometimes gets thin in spots and can cause operational shut down till the environmental convers are able to correct the issue. Until then people are stuck in town inside mostly there is old forms of entertainment gambling, women (term used loosely very loose), and other stuff that does not involve technology to use.

Ship design would be different, and include some optional thoughts for how mind-flayers might like their aethetics.
Also, ship-to-ship combat rules. Replace ballista with laser cannons and catapults with Torpedoes.

Rather than make it five alternate earths, why not just make it five different areas of the same Earth?

1) is the base world
2) is an futurisic human arcology where the humans reprogrammed the "wild west" robots (ala West World) only to have the robots turn on them (behind the facade of a wild west world is technology that can be used to fight the illithid)
3) A region where humanity has embraced their illithid masters and been given "super powers" as a reward (and a sinister secret behind what the illithids plans for these folks is)
4) An area turned to barbarism where an allied spider-like race has been given free reign to terrorize the humans here (and who could be manipulated to betray the illithid)
5) A hidden arcology that has somehow managed to resist the illithid and has outwardly maintained neutrality towards the illithid (perhaps because of the illicit "brain trades" the arcology allows - freeing itself of the unwanted elements of its society in return for "peace")
