There is a method to the madness let me start by saying this session went great. they awoke in the desert could not remember nothing other and running into a building from techno zombies (I will get back to that part) last memories were an elevator shaft and a long hall and a bright light then bam wake up in a barren red rocky open flat area. they think arizona they see a town off in the distance the structures after looking through some binoculars are made of metal and ceramic but can not tell. as they get close there is what looks like a fence but no wire just posts every so often they see small slits on the sides facing each one but nothing happens when they walk between them. In town at the last chance a bar of sorts entering in every thing as for cloths with odd symbols and logo, everyone wearing dirty one piece overhuls. they take to a barkeep (Tim) who tells them its the year 2045, now they were in 2013 so a bit of a shock, he tells them the marshal would not like this and to watch out because people disappear that cause trouble here, they asked if it an alien he said no we don't talk to them he is a robot. he stated that the robots take care of disrupters by putting them here to mine. When asked what they don't know its just rocks to him (he looks at their weapons and has no idea what they are) the pc's by this time all but an old man has left the bar they go over and talk to him. He looks 80 but real age closer to 100 and remembers the world before the robots and how they bread out aggression and anything that would be disruptive. The pc's asked about the zombie apocalypse he scratched his head a bit and said you me the quarantine in new york on manhattan island. He thought it was a bomb that terrorist had exploded and said what ever happened the government covered it up. The virus that caused the mutants affected only a 3rd of humanity and only a few were obvious others could pass for humans. there was a cure for it as the government said and did work on most others were deemed incurable and were hunted down. Also At this time a scientist named sinclair had started a robotics and technology company and we were thrown into the age of AI. We became totally dependent on them and before we knew it we were no longer in charge which was not bad for those who don't mind being told what is good and bad for them. But free thinking well there a disruption and will be dealt with, with the chemicals in the food and the water the whole of humanity became like sheep. I was a radio talk show personality back in the day they never asked his name ( Mark R. Levin ). Any way he runs a general store of a sort so the went to get cloth to fit in after going and getting clothe he tells them about the marshal and he runs this town they get the cloth and as there looking out to head to the mine because while taking to the old man in the clothing store he told them of a faceless stranger who came to town a short while before them and he went to the mine. Anyway the look out the door and see the marshal and he confronts them telling them in a very pleasant and annoying voice to they are in possession of forbidden technology and to stop being a disruption to surrender the forbidden technology he does not want to hurt them but this unit will defend itself. this message is said over and over and over. they attack and it is not much of a match for them but the power source over loads and explodes causing more damage to all near it. they get to mine and two are there same thing but both explode (the one player my brother hit the hurt one to cause both to explode to get his friend who is another character hurt pc's i tell ya) any way now there held up lickinh there wounds in the area the robot duo came from and that i were it stopped.
