4th Sea: Roi et Reines Rifleman

Frostmarrow

First Post
With Swashbuckling Adventures in hand I've created a character for 7th Sea:

Janoux Rie, Roi et Reines Rifleman, Lvl 1.

A suspended Rois et Reine rifleman trying to win the gold necessary to rid himself of dirty moneylenders. On a mission of freedom and restoration of honor. Keeps the secret of his mystical heritage close.

***

Basically I bought Eladrin Fey Step for the free human feat plus extra power. I ditched Dungeoneering or Nature in favor of Bluff (which is on the Roi et Reines skill list). The other skills are identical. As a human I picked diplomacy from the two 'free' skills all Montaignes get. The musket is identical to crossbow. The reload time is one minor action. Perhaps it would be more realistic to have three standard actions, or some such, but that defeats the purpose of a rifleman (he'd have to resort to bayonet or rapier after the first shot of every encounter.) Besides I think it balances out as a longbow would do more damage and less noise.
