Terrin AC:15* HP:27/31 HD:4/4 PP:14 SSdc14 4/4 3/3 CD:2/2 Slp:0/1

Terrin leaves Getan lying on the stairs and hugs the north wall as he creeps slowly back down towards the prison, staying low to avoid being seen by Siobhan. He stops as close as he can get to the bottom of the stairs while staying back far enough to take advantage of any shadow cast by the lantern at the table.

"There might be a fight. We're not the cult. You with us, drow?"
Lorent again adds a weird sentence in the middle of his charade.
"Yes, yes, I understand why we shouldn't torture the fool. It is a lesson, a possibility that next time he might not get reasonable treatment and that he wouldn't get off easily from cheating. "

Team Infiltrate

Lorent had gotten away with a few words in Celestial earlier. It was possible that a few in the room had recognized the tongue, but they did not catch what we had said, and assumed that it was a curse phrase. But more than one of them spoke elvish, and at the words, "We are not the Cult", a Fanatic stood up and directly accused 'Lozant' of being an imposter.

Rowlow was quick to respond to a double-cross, having been involved in several of the sort. He drew his sword and said, "Right! Everyone from the Wagon get where I can see ya and keep yer mouth shut or it'll be the last thing you say!"

OOC: I am happy to allow Copper to have unlocked the Cell before the combat starts.

Ooc: last ditch attempt 😀

“Wait, what? Oh, no, no — Elvish isn't my first language. I meant ‘Is he, the drow, in the cult or not'. Elven positions of conditionals alway gets me. We we're in a fight just before we came, I wanted to know about the prisoner."
And to the elf directly:
"You seriously think I’d say that in front of you if I wasn’t with The Cult?”

Deception; extra roll if disadvantage: 1D20+5 = [3]+5 = 8
1D20 = [1] = 1
yeah, no coming back from this

Init: 1D20+2 = [19]+2 = 21
at least he was ready

Terrin AC:15* HP:27/31 HD:4/4 PP:14 SSdc14 4/4 3/3 CD:2/2 Slp:0/1 C:Sleep

Hearing the seriousness of Rowlow's threat and seeing that Lorent's attempt to make a recovery is doomed, Terrin decides the only way to salvage the deteriorating situation is to strike first while his enemies are still unaware of his presence, hoping Copper has had time to release the drow prisoner. He retrieves a javelin and takes aim from the dim stairwell at one of the cultists at the table.

He steps back a few paces up the stairs, crouching low next to the sleeping form of Getan so as not to attract the attention of Siobhan.

OOC: Terrin moves to AU-68.
Dexterity : 1D20 = [9] = 9

Shamal is still feeling the energy of his ancestors flow through him when the Dracolich seems to suddenly appear. He calls out-

This is not Dretchoroyaster, but the work of the Betrayers!
With the saif al bedawi still held high, Shamal continues a pirouette right up into the beast. Rabb al-Raml, I beseech you. Show your power and let this unbeliever know the power of the desert!

With that, Shamal expertly slashes straight into the body of the Dracolich as the power of the Djinn flows through him, and as he does, the earth around the Dracolich rises up and grasps it, holding it firmly in place. In the same flowing motion, Shamal puts his mirwas away and his other shamshir flashes in his hand, expertly scoring the beast with a second blow.

OOC:
Minisheet updated (in bold) to reflect casting of Smite + Dao's Crush

First Swing: 1D20+5 = [19]+5 = 24

(stow mirwas, wield second blade through feat)
Bonus action- divine smite which triggers channel divinity (Dao's Crush)
Second Swing (advantage): 1D20+5 = [4]+5 = 9
1D20+5 = [18]+5 = 23

(advantage from restrained condition; see below)

Damage (two swings, divine smite (2d8 radiant + d8 radiant for undead)
Damage: 1D6+3 = [6]+3 = 9
1D6+3 = [1]+3 = 4
3D8 = [8, 8, 5] = 21

34 damage

Dracolich is retrained (no save). Attacks at advantage, its attacks at disadvantage. Must use action to free itself (escape DC is 13)

Team Caves

As the Dracolich's gaping maw snaked toward Shamal, Torhak slipped from the shadows and ran under the skeletal beast, leaped up and wedged his blade between neck bones. before falling to the ground. The dragon rose above him, reaching down to crush him, when Shamal struck, rising gravel and stone all around, that pulled the dragon's skeletal body to the ground, where Shamal slashed his shamshirs, causing bits of it to crumble off.

With the Dracolich held down by the rocks and dirt under Blackpeak, and pieces of it being broken off, it was very clear to Urgan that his suppositions were correct - they were made of the same stuff. Perhaps it was some kind of construct.

But if so, it was a powerful one, as it reared up, tearing through Shamal's elemental restraints, throwing a shower of dirt and stones. It swung its tail, sweeping across the ground toward Torhak, who rolled to the side, causing it to narrowly miss him. It slashed with its wing-claws at Shamal, who swirled around, stepping into the only spots where the great wing-bones were not as they whooshed on by.

OOC: It used its biggest attack action for the save, busted out and then rolled some pitiful legendary action attacks that missed. You are getting very, very lucky here.

Shamal feels the blessings of al-Raml cursing through him as he dances around, artfully contorting his body to avoid the monstrosity's blows as the Dracolich freed itself from al-Raml's clutches.

Ho! You cannot dance with the Faisan, for you are weighted down by death! May the sun and sand end your pitiful existence!

Shamal's words belied the seed of terror in his belly that grew as when his first strike clanged uselessly off the dragon. But quickly, Shamal moved into position focused the power of al-Raml and al-Ramda into his second blow that went straight into the menacing dragon.

Sun and Sand!

As the saif al-bedawi connected, Shamal unleashed the cleansing power of the Efreeti through his shamshir, and the Dao's presence caused the earth to once again rise up and grab hold of the beast.

OOC:
First Swing: 1D20+5 = [4]+5 = 9

Welp. That's not great.

Second Swing: 1D20+5 = [16]+5 = 21

Okay, that's SOMETHING. One hit.

Use Bonus Action for SMITE (3d8 radiant) and DAO'S CRUSH. Updated minisheet to reflect.

Damage: 1D6+3 = [3]+3 = 6
3D8 = [5, 7, 2] = 14

20 damage. Restrained again.

ALL ATTACKS THIS ROUND AT ADVANTAGE. (Drach's attacks at disadvantage, DC13 and attack action to free itself)
