What lesson would they learn? If 2024 is supposed to be perfectly compatible, then the writing of the adventure prior to rules being finalized shouldn't be an issue. In reality, you should be able to play Vecna with all.2014 materials.

Interesting that the DMG will, first, have a complete campaign Setting (Greyhawk Confirmed?), but also several Adventures. Teaching hiw to build a whole campaign by example, I guess? Majes the DMG sort of match the recent Setting books with mini-camoaigns ..
