Intellect aside is there anything that carries over to Wildshape? You can't cast spells until the end of your career, but any skills, feats, equipment?

You have duration spells that you can cast prior to Wildshape.

Player is saying items just meld into your body without effect.

So if you have ring of protection +2 and turn into a bear. You do not get the bonus. But if you turn into a bear ands party member puts a ring on your bear form, does that work?

Can of worms.
A lot of debate re: racial abilities transferring over (eg half Orc relentless or whatever it's called). I'm on the side of "no" as a racial trait refers to your physical form and your physical form is no longer the same. Goes both ways so a drow Druid could wild shape to avoid sunlight sensitivity, for example.

If you have a mc character there are some abilities that COULD transfer sibling as your best shape allows it (eg a fighter/Druid could employ defensive fighting style as a bear but a monk/Druid couldn't utilise flurry of blows as I'd rule the blows are a combo of punches, kicks, and more importantly a suitable centre of gravity honed over many years as a humanoid), though others differ in their interpretation.

I rule all items merge so I'd allow a post-change ring to be added, yes, but wouldn't count an existing ring that wasn't removed beforehand. I'd be tempted to make some special items that can transform as a special find but gets be the exception rather than the norm.
