D&D 5E 5e Halcyon Academy

"Well, I'm down for investigating the spring.", says Dariana. She looks at Quentin, and Mim in the distance. "Perhaps I've been too hasty in some of my actions, as I'm sure your 'orders' are just you trying to help as best you can. It sounds like things are not in balance here and that concerns me. The divine school... not sure it's my cup of tea."

Zivar listens to the old mans words and thinks for a moment before looking around to the group. "I know they said it would be 3 days to the academy but did they say we had to BE there in 3 days? I want to help but that might mean having to come back if we do have a deadline to get to the Academy. If something is going wrong here that is information the Academy will likely want."

"Your token is of no use to us if we don't make it. You must have food and (sound of waterfall) water these are things we need, not silly trinkets that may help us." Mim is still hanging by the back of the group, if he is going to risk himself he will most certainly require a tangible reward.

"Wonderful! I am Hinarius Forabenza, by the way. My friends call me Hinar. The spring is only an hours walk from here, to the west. Please find out what is wrong. If you would like some stew before you go, please come in and have some, though there might be a storm coming, and it would be best if you were back before it comes. These flowers, though beautiful, tend to attract lightning. Still haven't figured out how they don't burn up when struck."

Mim takes due not of the flowers special properties."Go now? Try and get back before the storm?."
Mim knew all to well getting caught out in the open in the rain was bad enough but a thunder storm in a forest that attracted lightning no thank you.

"I'm here to learn. If we can help as part of the test, even better. Your token will be appreciated, suplies and the map even more, master Forabenza."

Looking at Dariana, Quentin nods.
"My mistake. I'm used to ordering the ships crew. We're all equals here. But don't ever again mistake caution for cowardice. And I'll not call your running away reckless, but brave, deal?"

At Mims comment about tokens, he looks at the kenku for several moments before saying the the group in general.
"Token is what got us onto the island. If we didn't have one, we couldn't get off from the ship. As that poor elven princess that must have throught somebody else will provide for her. Strange that nobody told her that she needs the token to get here."

"Anyhow, we could help here, collect the token or tokens and decide later if we would call them in or not. And we get some food and water. Water especially, if we can cleanse the spring. I could use a dip."

"Zivar, Mim, I recall them saying it wasn't about getting there quickly. I agree not dawdling is wisest but I think opportunities to prove ourselves are good too."

"Yeah Quentin, I'm kinda used to being alone so having others suggesting action and or caution threw me a bit off."
