D&D 5E 5e Halcyon Academy

Grody starts at the voice and looks around in a panic for a moment before realizing it was just Dariana. He stared at her for another moment and then realizing the question, quickly pats himself up and down looking for wounds. After another few seconds he stops, and looks back to her. "Grody okay?" He seems rather taken aback by his not-squished-into-paste condition.

Mim looks around at the scene feeling disheartened that he expended so much magical energy on childish games, even if it was fun. Mim approaches Haraquesh "You need to be more careful, people could of gotten hurt "

Mim heads back inside wondering where the teachers where during all of this.

"Well done, everyone. Harlequin, get those monsters inside. You could have gotten us or citizens killed!"

"We showed good teamwork here. Minor things could be improved upon, such as Grody not being closest to the big things we fight! But you did well, dragon blood!"
he turns to Asherah
"And we make good team!" he offers the hand palm down as he would for someone to hold to, not a handshake.

He tries to pull everyone in one big group hug.
"Well, this deserves another round of drinks!" he frowns on zombie remains on his body and some bruising already forming. But he shrugs, he had worse in practice.
"It seems we are validated for carrying around our weapons and armor even in the city. I would suggest the caster keep few spells in reserve at all times. Let's celebrate our victory!"

OOC: sorry to disappear for the last round, I ended up in a hospital and only now received my laptop. I will be slow to post for several more days while on meds.

“Yes, we do make a good team,” Asherah said, her fur fluffing in a blush. She took the genasi’s hand and got pulled into a hug. She smiled and hugged Quentin back, her tail curling a bit around them, seemingly with a mind of its own.

Separating, Asherah asked, “Is anyone hurt? Need healing? And yes, a drink sounds good, though getting cleaned up does, too.” She gave Grody a scratch above his eye ridges, glad the kobold was okay.

Grody took the compliments with a bit more surprise than one might have thought. But better than he had in the past. He did duck out of the hug attempt, looking decidedly bothered by it for some reason. But wasn't expecting the eye ridge scratch. Oddly enough, he seemed to move into the touch, looking startled as much by his own reaction as much as by the touch.

Asherah smiled down at Grody. He reminded her a bit of the tree iguanas her people sometimes kept as pets.

“It’s all settled now. Maybe the Arcane School will put limits on how many undead a wizard can have,” she said with distaste. “Why would someone mess with that anyway?”

Zivar Gnome Wizard

"I doubt it." Zivar replied to Asherah's comment about limiting the undead. "And even if they did, They would have to work to enforce it. A lot of the training here is pushing your limits. At least those were Zombies. I listened to a lecture about these things called 'Planes of existence' from which all manner of creatures can be summoned. I don't want to be here when someone decides they can do that unsupervised and makes a mistake..."

He looks over his shoulder at the Necromancer leading his zombies away, Business can wait.

Thankful for the friendship that has formed Zivar offers to get the first round. He brings everyone their favorite inexpensive drink, something he's seen them drink often before, but is affordable. If all goes well he is going to have to invest in some research.

"To Friendship!"

Professor Haught came walking up from behind the group.

"Hey, you guys were great! What a way to demonstrate what you've been learning." She looked over at Asherah, "Zivar's right. Our job at the Academy isn't to set limits, it's to break them. And the professors aren't going to save students from mishaps and dangers they face each day. That's why we're teaching them, and nothing teaches faster than having your life be in danger. But you all did wonderfully!"
