D&D 5E 5e Halcyon Academy

"Yes, Headmaster, that is what I would do. But that wasn't my question. The question was, do you know anything else that would help us prepare." Quentin does not back up. Headmaster may be powerful and important, but misunderstanding and than deriding him in front of his group cannot be left unaddressed.

Winter/Afternoon
Round 0

“This winter does not sound good,” Asherah said with a frown of concern. “We do not have this in the Suzerainty. What do I need to prepare for this?” she asked.

OOC: I don’t have the money, so I will have to give an IOU.

Zivar Gnome Wizard

"Asherah come with me, we will go together and buy warm cloths for this trip."

OOC: Zivar will offer to loan you the money at no interest when we get there and find out that you don't have the money on hand. He has enough to get one other set of cloths as well if anyone else doesn't have the cash right now. Anyone that balks at the "charity" is told "We are friends, we must do this together. I do this to help you now knowing that when I need help I can rely on you."

Grody, made more nervous by the bickering, took Zivar's suggestion as a good one and he decided to join them. Sliding out of his seat he slunk to the door, hoping to not draw attention to himself.

OOC: I'll take Zivar up on that offer. Grody only has 3 gold himself. Though, Grody would likely protest at first.

"You asked if I knew of anything that would help you prepare. I told you to not be stupid. That would seem to cover everything else." The Headmaster said. "But I'm afraid I have little time to stay here. See Professor Haught when you are ready to leave. Use the idol when you are ready to come back. Simply focus on me and it will put you into contact with me. Farewell."

And with that, he simply vanished from sight.

Quentin goes with the group buying set of winter clothes.
OOC: I have exactly 10gp.

"I don't need the credit, but I spent some earlier, I don't have enough to help anyone.

Asherah, you'll be fine, the fur will provide some extra warmth once you get the clothes. But you might feel a bit restrained by heavy clothing. I could help you get in and out of it for faster performance."
the sailor grins at the offer, flirting as he always does.

Zivar happily gives Asherah and Grody the money for winter cloths and buys himself some as well along with some other things he fells he will need on this trip.

OOC: Adjusted character sheet with new equipment and took the money spent out

It takes a while for Grody's clothing as the tailor ends up having to perform some emergency modifications to a gnomish sized outfit, including providing a hole for his tail to exit through. In the end, he looks quite silly while wearing the outfit and he quickly scrambles out of it as soon as the fitting is complete.

“Thank you, Zivar,” Asherah replied, giving the gnome a smile. “I do not have much coin though,” she admitted. She got up with the others to go to the store.

“Thank you, Zivar,” she said again when he offered to cover her expenses for the clothing.

“Asherah, you'll be fine. The fur will provide some extra warmth once you get the clothes. But you might feel a bit restrained by heavy clothing. I could help you get in and out of it for faster performance," Quentin said.

Asherah’s fur fluffed in a blush. “I...that...won’t be necessary, I do not think. Thank you, Quentin.” Her tail twitched behind her, betraying the excitement his words had sent through her. But no, Quentin was not serious. Was he?

Asherah tried on the clothes, annoyed at how her tail was constricted. They assured her they could compensate for that. Like Grody, it took her longer than the others, but she finally came out

“It is...very warm,” she said.
