It was fine to me. The only time I think the DM is cheating is when he refuses to let a character use a feature, like having Devil's sight, but not letting the Warlock see through magical darkness, because he doesn't want them to. Other than that, bring it on!

Nah, seemed fine to me! I appreciate your ruling regarding the neck too. It seems in line with the 'spirit' of the item, but from a strict interpretation of the rules you didn't have to go that way.

1) stationed, till Feb or so...

2) felt good, out of Akilah's element, however I can heal bot and I'm fine with that.

3) No issues with your added flare, made sense such things were possible and didn't feel forced.

FYI, I will often post my next move, but feel free to wait to put it into effect until my initiative. I just post when I can so I don't slow down the game.

Hehe apologies for posting too fast. I was going to be away from the house for awhile today so I rushed myself and didn't notice that it wasn't my turn yet.

No harm no foul. :)

I think it's called "popcorn" initiative when we play like 8 year olds and only loosely follow the initiative rules...maybe...if someone isn't yelling what he or she is going do next. ;)

Going to enjoy dinner at my friend's place and watch the Game of Thrones premiere tonight, but I'll be back to posting tomorrow.

It was a good nasty short scrap, although I was astonished how quickly we took that thing down. It's been a *long* time since I gamed at this level of power. I guess that 5e combats *are* fast!

High level characters can put out a crapton of damage very quickly if they don't have to conserve resources and can focus fire, yeah. I'm in an Out of the Abyss game with level 13 characters, and it's a bit crayzeeeee. Especially if you have some iteration of rogue or paladin in the mix.

Hm. Paladin/Monk. Interesting notion.

Yeah, I've learned that Rogues are beasts. They tank pretty well, because of their ability to reduce damage, and that's if they get hit at all.
