"Not hiding, just am sad and worthless now... The clan has... had a dragon, I, Meepo, was Keeper of Dragons. We lost it. Wretched goblins stole Calcryx, our dragon! Now Meepo is lower than dirt."
Kuhl finds himself in immediate sympathy wight he pathetic creature. Goblins are horrid things, and he has lost many goats to their predations. Kobolds stay underground, and do not like goat flesh.
"Where are the rest of your clutch? Are you alone? Where did they go?"
While Kuhl is talking to Meepo, Ara will go over and examine the bench with the green cloth and the objects on the bench.
Ara returns his arrow to the quiver and slings his bow. He moves over to the bench and examines it carefully. Ara starts with the objects on the bench, but expands his investigation to include the green covering and the bench itself. If anything appears magical, Ara will try and rember if he remembers something similar.

The bench serves as a sort of tiny altar.
Resting on it are containers of green dye, a paintbrush
made of goblin-hair bristles, and four tiny jade figurines
of dragons.
Edgar had no particular love for kobolds, but the mention of goblins gets his blood up, "Where are these goblins." Edgar demands of the goblin, "How many of the vermin are there?"
The pathetic creature responds, "Meepo don't know, but Yusdrayl does. Meepo take you to meet Yusdrayl, our leader, if you make nice. You get safe passage, if you promise to make nice."
He perks up a little as a thought crossed his mind, and he says, "Maybe if you promise to rescue dragon, Yusdrayl make nice to you, answer questions."
"If you're so disgraced in your clan, how can you offer safe passage?" getting useful information could be useful, but Edgar wasn't too sure about trusting the kobold, or getting them their dragon back - though he still entertained the possibility that it wasn't actually a dragon.
