If us outsiders don't stop cannibalizing each other, the Vassals and their petty "gods" will soon outnumber us! Down with the Sovereign Host and their death grip on divinity!

The Traveler's cool too they can totally join us

I feel like people don't understand the Blood of Vol; they've bought into the Silver Flame "they worship undead!" nonsense.

If the gods exist, and the world continues to be the terrible place it is for people (the Last War just ended, and some politicians want to heat it right back up again) then either they are incapable of making the world a better place or they actively want the world to be terrible; in either case, the gods are unworthy of worship. The "afterlife" they offer is, by the description in their own holy books, a depressing, terrible grey waste where people eventually forget their old lives to be born anew into the cycle of suffering.

The Blood of Vol has discovered ways to prevent people's souls from going to that hellish afterlife promised by the Sovereign Host. You can continue to exist in your own body and never die! And what do the Sovereign Host do about this? Do they celebrate this fantastic achievement of mortal ingenuity, research, and drive? No, they empower their priests to destroy those who have avoided their afterlife. This is basically a Dick Move on the part of the gods. The constant persecution of the Blood of Vol has driven them underground, where they are forced to associate with morally questionable individuals just to survive. Is it any wonder some become terrorists? They were persecuted just for wanting to avoid Dolurrh!

But they don’t actually exist. At least I get told I’m a horrible person and a fake fan if I do have them be real entities anyways, so they must not exist right? So a horrible afterlife isn’t their fault, it’s a feature of the realm.😁

Not that I have anything against the Blood of Vol, keep fighting the good fight and we will soon rid the world of those pyromaniacs! 😆

Undeath is a fail state for the Blood of Vol; all those Vampires and Mummies and Liches are seen as martyrs, not as the ubermensch. Divinity is within mortality; becoming immortal means you've given up your chance to become truly divine in order to lead and shepherd the Seekers in their quest.

By the same token, The Church of the Silver Flame is not Alt!Catholicism. There is a similar structure, sure, with its Lolipope and its Cardinals and its lycanthropy inquisition, but Baker has long defended the extremism of the inquisition (imagine a massive swell of evil lycanthropes spreading in a world with twelve moons), and lacks a lot of the social reactionism that people tend to associate it with (thanks to thinking they're basically Fantasy Catholics), and their members are by and large good people who are focused on healing the sick and defeating supernatural evil.

Also, the Church headquartered in Thrane are not the only worshippers of the Silver Flame. There are several cultures and institutions that have nothing to do with the church but are clearly drawn to the power of the Flame.

These worshippers of undead and undead creators must be stopped! The Flame is life! The Flame light the path to goodness! The Flame protect the innocents and those who can't help themselves! Raise the Flame high up! Make its Silver Light bright and let it burn the undead that plague the world!
