5th Level Wizard Has 2 Daily And 2 Encounter Powers

I like it too, I don't like Vancian magic. I think its a cool interesting concept, as long as they are clear and don't throw around exceptions for this, and another one for that too much.

I think you should expect to see several more exceptions from healing abilities, since they have to be tied to both the powers setup, which is designed to allow people to have things to do for as many fights as possible in a day, and to the healing surges system, which is designed to limit how many fights a group can survive in a day.

I also noticed that trip is now a power not an option for everyone, I wonder if that has happened to disarm, bullrush, etc?
In the last week, so much info has come out that I can't remember where I saw half of it anymore -- but I know I heard in one of the reviews that Grapple and Bull Rush are for everyone, but trip, disarm, and sunder are powers.

Anyone have a guess on how utility powers are doled out with respect to the encounter/daily divide? It caught my attention that the level 16 spellsheet includes 1 encounter and 2 daily. This suggests that you either get to pick which type you'd like or you get more than one.

Hmm, another encounter power at third level and another daily at fifth?

Considering most of the pregens had 2 at-will, 1 encounter, and 1 daily, that does sound like the correct progression. It will likely cycle through, adding another at-will at 7th level etc... but, I thought the wizards would "only be down 25% of their power when their daily spells are gone." Dailies would have to be less frequent for that to hold up. Since powers are odd levels, then we can assume that feats are even levels. What about talents though, I was really hoping for some talents.

I suspect that power selection takes the place of talents. Certainly many of the talents in SWSE were essentially just selecting new powers.

Thanks, yeah thread overload ;)

1st: 2/1/1?
3rd: 2/2/1?
5th: 2/2/2?
7th: 3/2/2?
9th: 3/3/2?
11th: 3/3/3?
13th: 4/3/3?
15th: 4/4/3?
17th: 4/4/4?
18th: 5/4/4?

Just a theory, but Wizards probably get to know 2 Daily for every 1 Daily they can cast.

I was going to repair this to say FIFY -- but I couldn't figure out what you meant. :(
Sorry!

Tumble is listed as a 2nd level rogue encounter power, so I think we'll be getting stuff at each level, not just on the odd ones.
