A Blind-Monk?

and does that mean that he would only stop getting those abilities like imunity to poison, or the furry of blows too?

Really, it depends. Monks don't technically lose their abilities if they cease being lawful, though I would probably make the arguement that they should, in certain cases. They gain the abilities through dedication and focus - why should they retain them if they stop following them?

i see...than it would become impossible for him to get Diamond body, but the flurry of blows should continue to evolve no? after all it's part of the monk's fighting abilities. something he would gain through physical training, not mental training

I say again: you're changing what equates to your religion. If you used to be LE monk, and had a change of heart to a redeemed LG monk, you could keep progessing. You may be doing the same thing, just in reverse. I could even see (pun) you restarting the temple, but without the non-violent part, since clearly that line of thought gets you smoked.

ok, I misread both the posts, and the monk's pages :P

thx for the help.

just one more thing. in all of our campaigns, either is me DMing, or our resident DM, each and every PC (and the DM's PC character, as well as the BBEG) have a special ability. something that makes them different from everyone else. we had a ranger who had no penalty when using two weapons, a fighter who got posessed by a spirit while he was made prisioner, a cleric who could see recent events when touching someone/something, a ninja who can create several copies of himself (Kage bunshin no jutsu, for all naruto fans out there). What do you think could be a cool special ability for this monk?

Sight From Memory- If the Monk of Relentless Vengence hears the voice, smells, or is any way given a distinguishing hint at someone who has wronged him, he can "see" them as a grey glow in spite of his lack of eyes.

Breath of the West Wind- The Monk of Relentless Vengence can inhale two 10 foot cubes worth of air. If he inhales any inhaled posion or gaseous spell effects, he suffers their effects, but can blow them back out in a 30 foot cone.

Give him void points from rokugan. A breath weapon of weakening gas or sleep.

Competence or Insight bonus to jump checks equal to level x4 has been my personal favorite one ever.

The last one was quite fun. Got it from an artifact set. See if your GM will let you use it to gain bonus damage in battle.

The GM also let the character train for this feat:

Crushing Impact
Requirements: None
When you make a jump check to deal extra damage in battle, if you are equipped with the Longnoculis, you 1d6 bonus damage to the character your attacking for every 10 feet you fall, and take 1d6 damage yourself. For every 10 damage to do the character, you take 1 less d6.

Change it to "Crushing Heel of The Blazing Comet" or something. And brainstorm up your own.
