A Clash of Earth and Sea (El Jefe Judging) [See Part II]

Raise Dead said:
A character who died with spells prepared has a 50% chance of losing any given spell upon being raised, in addition to losing spells for losing a level. A spellcasting creature that doesn’t prepare spells (such as a sorcerer) has a 50% chance of losing any given unused spell slot as if it had been used to cast a spell

You can roll for any spells you had left before you died. I'm afraid you dont feel sufficiently rested to re-memorize as yet. Also, Opale and Ducane should both note:

[SBLOCK=OOC]Yeah, but Raise dead tells:
Raise Dead said:
While the spell closes mortal wounds and repairs lethal damage of most kinds, the body of the creature to be raised must be whole.
So a few hair shouldn't have been enough to raise us... that's good for Ressurection or True Ressurection.[/SBLOCK]

ooc: At some point today, I'm bound to get something right on the first go-round. They must have used ressurection, I suppose. Full hp and all spells peviously memorized it is.

"I still have a few spells, but I've spent my best ones. You want to go and take on pirates, with what we have. Even both of you, Iggy and Charlarn, you havn't prepare yourself for that fight. I got killed, and Duncane too against the Merrows, I tell you this, you don't, want to die. I would like to know more before saying that we can go without preparation, it's looks like more some foolish quest to go like that. These pirates, who they are, who is there leader, what is there firepower, there defences? And Iggy, if you are scared about Sara, I think she is bright enough not to get killed alone. I don't think one day is such a big deal to do something correctly." tells Opale.

"We could probably take them if there aren't too many," Zack says, though he is now more wary as Ducane has lost his life once already and he has been close to it himself.

"If... and how much are they? And how skilled are they?" replies Opale, to make sure to understand that the group want to go fight an enemy they know nothing about.

"Perhaps the merfolk can help us." says Iggy. He turns back to them. "Can you tell us anything about these pirates? How many are there? What sort of weapons and magic do they use? Do you know what sort of guards they post or what sort of compound they live in?"

"The pirate base takes up much of the island. It isn't a town by any means, but they've got a depot there with supplies they need, and probably some treasure I'd imagine. They're are about two to three dozen pirates about the place, as far as we can tell. If you were to destroy their supply depot, maybe a few of the other buildings, that'd probably drive them away."

"Everyone is at full strength excecpt Opale, who's down a few spells. I think we should at least do some reconasainse. Let's take the boat and head over. Then again, perhaps we should do it after dark. We could try to sneak in and set some buildings on fire." Iggy pauses. Secretly, he would like to verify that they are indeed evil pirates. He generally trusts the merfolk, but wouldn't want to end up on the wrong side. It's possible the men and the merfolk could come to some sort of peaceful accord.

"Let's head in after dark." He repeats. "These pirates are humans, are they not?" he asks the merfolk.
