A Clash of Earth and Sea (El Jefe Judging) [See Part II]

ooC: Iggy had cast mage armor for the first battle, atop the chimney. Persumably less than 5 hours has passed and it is still active. His crossbow attack: 16+6=22 dmg 3. Not a lot of damage, but every little bit counts.

OOC: Sorry, busy day...

Jack slips over to the wall, out of sight of the merrow, and hoping the big lunk was too focused on the larger, more conspicuous members of the party. He sidles up to the corner of the wall, and waits to spring his trap...

Movement to D11, where Jack tries to hide against the wall, then readies an action to attack the merrow, if he comes within reach.

Hide +17 = 34
 

Previously
Jack moves to D11 and hides.

Iggy's shot hits the Merrow for 3 damage.

Round 1 Continues
The merrow backs away into the shadows, growling curses at you.

(Charlarn is closest to it... is he carrying a light?)

Planus does not have line of sight to the Merrow from his current location. If he moves forward, he may make a single shot... though the Merrow may benefit from concealment.

Planus moves to D16 where he can cover all three hallways (if he could see them) and readies a shot at the first available target.

OOC: I believe that Opale has the only light, Jack's continual flame latern. If that's right, the merrow has total concealment from Planus. Oh, and Planus has AC 19. If Charlarn does have a light I forgot about then the ready action will trigger immediately and I'll roll the attack.

Realizing he's left the light, Charlarn sheathes his weapon and casts light on the face of his shield.

2-shield other*, silence, spiritual weapon.

[SBLOCK=OOC] Opale have Jack's light, and Iggy have casted light spell too while following the fleeing Merrow.[/SBLOCK]

Opale recharge while moving 5 feet to not have the wall in her path and shoot at the merrow.

OOC: Opale's movement brings the merrow to 85 feet. The light is 20 foot radius bright, and 40 foot radius shadowy illumination so the merrow still has total concealment even to those with low light vision. Charlarn is 55 feet away so on his turn, Planus can finally see the merrow though it has partial concealment.

IC: As Charlarn's spell illuminates the surrounds, Planus is just able to make out the shadowy form of the merrow. He was ready, but releases a poor shot. bow shot (1d20+6=10, 1d8+2=7, 1d100=66)

OOC: Total arrows fired: 8.

Charlarn carefully stows his weapon in order to cast a light spell on his shield.

With the benefit of Charlarn's light, Planus takes his shot, but misses.
