A Clash of Earth and Sea (El Jefe Judging) [See Part II]

Apologies! I seem to have neglected to post my travel plans in my DM threads. The delay was largely due to the fact that I was away. I had been waiting for Sara before I left, but I will post an update very soon now that I am back.

That's OK. I had seen your posts regarding your traveling, but I'd seen you on other threads.

ooc: My phone can open one thread at a time, with some difficulty. Didn't feel I could DM with it... when I resolve a combat round, I usually need to have invisible castle, the game thread, my DM thread, some character sheets, and several SRD pages all open at once. :) Speaking of which, invisible castle seems to be down, so I'm using actual dice at the moment...

ooc2: Does anyone object to ruling that Zack was retroactively raging at the time he got hit?

Round 4 Concludes
[Sara's AOO goes here.]

4 ogres attack Sara, but only one hits, dealing 10 damage.

2 ogres attack Ducane, one hitting for 14 damage.

The remaining 2 ogres charge at the merfolk who just killed their ally.

The power of Phyra manifests a celestial protector in the form of a dolphin, appearing beside an Ogre and bashes it for 5 damage.

Charlarn swims over to Zack, and uses the Horn of Cure Light wounds. He heals his wounded comrade for 2 damage, stabilizing him at 40 damage. Unless further healed, he will still die when the adrenaline is flushed out of his system. (-5 while rage lasts, -11 if rage ends.)

Through his sensor, Iggy can see that the remaining enemy spellcaster panics at the merfolk assault. He hustles away, narrowly avoiding several tridents in his flight. As he runs, he yells "Retreat! Back to the caves! They've outmaneuvered us!"

You can't be sure yet whether or not the Merrow will listen to his orders.

On another note, I bought World of Warcraft. I'm doomed. Sorry.

Does that mean we will see you here rarely, or are you quitting entirely?

We seem to be depleted... KB, Xael, and Dalamar all are having availability problems to one extent or another. This adventure cannot be completed by two players. Any suggestions on how you all want to proceed? One possibility would be additional recruitment.

OOC: I'm not going anywhere, just having a bit of lapse (yes, again) in posting due to playing too much and summer laziness in general. :heh: I'll sort that out. Dalamar shouldn't have any problems that I know of (other than work), though I haven't seen him online for a while. I don't think that he's leaving ENWorld anytime soon, at least permanently.

Charlarn of Phyrah: male human cleric 3/ranger 2

Round 5:
Charlarn notes that Zack's wounds are still grave. He grasps his holy symbol and spontaneously casts cure moderate wounds in place ofspiritual weapon. The prayer heals 9 (2d8+3) hp of damage. His porpoise smites the merrow (attack roll 1d20+5=16) dealing 6 (2d4+3) hp of damage.

Cleric Spells Prepared (4/3+1/2+1: save DC 13 + level):
0-detect magic, light (2), mending;
1-bless, sanctuary*, shield of faith, summon monster I;
2-shield other*, silence, spiritual weapon.
*Domain spell.

OOC: Patlin, you were checking on ENWorld through your phone? Cool. Are there free adventurers in the Red Dragon now?

ooc: I was thinking about putting a post in general, as the RDI is a bit far off.

As to the phone, it works well in most ways, but ENWorld really doesn't like being squeezed onto a 320x320 screen... that and spoiler blocks won't open for some reason. :)

Round 5 Begins
Iggy blasts the fleeing spellcaster with a barrage of magic missiles. The missile meet a shimmering force about a foot away from the caster, disolving harmlessly.

The merfolk turn as a group, charging the Ogres. They take significant losses in the process, and do some slight damage to their targets.

Sara chages in at the distracted Ogres, but misses.

[Ducane is up.]

Ducane's face darkens as Zack gets hit again by the Merrow, but he gives a quick, grim nod to Charlarn, and then finally proceeds (12) towards the Merrow to attack. He charges towards a merrow, but manages to miss (1) it.

OOC: AC 20 (17 + 1 Haste + 4 Mobility - 2 Charge) against movement AoOs if the Merrow haven't used them yet, and using Dodge against the one he's attacking.
