A different kind of campaign...

Am I the only person who might be interested in running or playing in an all psionics-and-incarnum campaign, where no form of arcane/divine/anything-other-than-psionics-or-incarnum magic exists?

I wouldn't want all my games to be like that. I'm still a large fan of (relatively) traditional games. But it might be fun as a temporary change...

I know I saw several people mention this is FireLance's Incarnum thread already, so I guess that means there are definitely others who've thought of that too.

I've long considered running a game where magic is replaced by psionics (or the Force system from SWd20). Don't know much about Incarnum yet, although it seems like an interesting concept.

It can be fairly interesting. I would do it in some exotic setting and with exotic character races. Maybe the supplement Mind Shadows by Green Ronin would be fine for it.

I'd rather have an all-psionics game than mix Magic and Psionics in a campaign. To me, the two aren't incompatible- they're just two methods to the same madness. I prefer sticking with one method of madness, thank you very much. :D

I haven't seriously looked at Magic of Incarnum, but I've toyed with the idea of a psionics-only campaign at some points. Then again, I've also toyed with working up some alternate magic systems for 3E/d20.

Don't have magic of incarnum.

I'd love to try an all-psionics campaign. I've even scripted an apocalypse for my campaign world, in which the gods lose their powers, magic no longer works and everyone starts developing psionic powers.

The only thing that concerns me (apart from the fact my current players hate psionics) is the lack of healing magic might cause problems.

Might end up with a campaign where the players are only prepared to fight one encounter a day (as that is all they can heal from), so they "go nova" and blow all their power points wiping the floor with the opposition in that one encounter then rest for 23 hours.

Can you use incarnum to heal? Might be worth considering including it, if you can.
