A Feat for spellcaster

Adept of Fire (General)
Benefit: All fire damage caused by your spell is increased to next highest damage dice
(d3->d4->d6->d8->d10->d12->d20)
Example: Fireball cast by 5th level wizard with Adept of Fire feat would do 5d8 instead of 5d6 damage

Special: Can only be taken at first level or
Requirements: Knowledge (Arcana): 5 ranks, Energy Substitution: Fire

Similar spells should be available to all elements. Is it too powerful? Lame? Boring?

Does it stack? That is the significant question, IMHO...

Because it is not noted otherwise, one could take the feat only once so it would not stack.

Hmmm... this feat basically adds +1 damage/caster level to elemental spells. Personally, I think thats a tad much, and might work better if it has some prerequists, or is a metamagic feat.


Bigger Die Spell (needs a better change ) (Metamagic)
Benefit: A spell modified by this metamagic feat has its dice one step larger then normal, as on the chart below.

d3->d4->d6->d8->d10->d12

A spell modified by this metamagic feat uses up a spell lot one level higher then normal.

Requirements: Bloodline of Fire (FRCS, possibly another feat), any one metamagic feat, Knowledge (Arcana) 10+
Benefit: All fire damage caused by your spell is increased to next highest damage dice
(d3->d4->d6->d8->d10->d12->d20)
Example: Fireball cast by 5th level wizard with Adept of Fire feat would do 5d8 instead of 5d6 damage


I would probally throw in an entire feat chain for the second one, possibly one that starts by giving +3 DC to [Fire] spells, then maybe fire resistance 5, a +4 DC (total) to [Fire] spells and +1 to SR checks, and then that feat.
