He probably said AI was canon so that people would get annoyed by it and finally stop worrying about Forgotten Realms canon, which is what they've been trying to get people to do now for years. ;)

Oh Mystra, by the time Chris Perkins is done with the Forgotten Realms, these will be no place untouched by whimsy.

The rise of robot beholders, Verdan, and the Greataxe Bob has begun!

I don't follow these games, so can someone summarize what this book is about? There's a new race and a corporation and ... is that all?

Sold. Looks great! I personally love the idea of "roles" for the party other than, and in addition to, character class. I've been an Acq Inc fan since the beginning, and they were "incorporated" in the Nentir Vale setting years before they were magically ported over to the Forgotten Realms.

I'm super glad this is a thing (already pre-ordered). I have always struggled with how seriously some material and DMs treat the game. Some people prefer grim dark drama, others want to laugh a bit at the absurdity of existence.

I would suggest watching their show, it will give you a better idea of what the book is about than a summery of contents by itself.
