A Paid Trip to Spellhold [D&D 4e]

The tides of battle seems to be turning in favor of the recently assembled group of warriors.
The githzerai's massive sword cuts through the stronger enemy, leaving him grunting in pain.
The sailor waves his hands exhorting his spirit companion to defend his newfound comrades. The creature obeys and slams the thief next to it.
Daven, the joyful bard makes a nimble move, and position himself right in place to thrust his rapier into one of the shadowthieves, while at the same time, encouraging the dwarf to keep up.
Issia is not happy. Definitely not happy, and shows it by opening her jaw again, and this time, releasing a fiery breath, that catches in the face at the man sanding right in front of her. The poor fellow consumes in the flames, and when the clear, the smoking black carcase is all what is left. The flames also spread to catch the sturdy guy, who seems now in pretty bad shape.

Thurinar watches one of the Shadowthieves fall, and turns his attention on what will hopefully be his new allies. Cliff looked as if his hands were full, so the elf stretched his bow taught, and sighted down one of the Shadowthieves surrounding him.

The arrow loosed and a deafening twang echoed from the walls. It shoot true, piercing through the targeted Shadowthieves forearm, and lodging in his neck, while a stabbing swarm of mosquito spread over Thurinar's enemies.

The seeker double-stepped and advanced upon the other two foes surrounding Cliff. He stood beside them in an instant, and unleashed a spirit blast, pushing the other Shadowthief into the swarm of Mosquito's, and placing resistance on his escape.

[sblock=OOC]
Standard Stinging Swarm on S1 25 vs AC for 16 damage, and S1 and each enemy adjacent take a -2 penalty to attack rolls TS of Thurinar's NT.

Move Q12->L12->K11

Taran doesn't want to hurt an ally again and just pounces the nearest enemy with his claws.

The vermin that sprout out of Thurinar's arrow finish the thug. The man silently goes down when the insects drain his last breath.
Taran also drops his enemy, the man's flesh torn apart by the sharp claws.
The bandit leader ponders the situation quickly. He jumps back and disappears into the darkness of the next room.

Rudin roars again, charging into the room that he faces, his waraxe readied to strike down any foes he encounters.

[sblock=Actions]Unsure of the healing surges, though I just had the one+4 which would give me 11? Saving throw vs poison is [16,5] = (21)

Will move to U10 and then finish with a charge at the nearest enemy I can see. If I can reach him I use Howling Strike as a basic melee with the charge.

1d20+6 for attack [8,6] = (14)
1d12+7 for damage [2,7] = (9)
1d6 for howling strike damage [1] = (1)
[/sblock]

Rudin rushes into the room, with renewed forces, and stares at an empty room filled with tables, and a shut door at the other side of the room. There seems to be no one around.
While the dwarf charges in the dark room, the remaining thug tries to slice Cliff with his blade, but the fear and desperation make his attack go wide.

Izera, Female Githzerai Avenger

Izera's master had always taught her to beware of unseen foes - these shadow thieves certainly fit the message. Knowing she wasn't equipped to bring them out in the open, the best she could hope for was to be ready when they reappeared.

[sblock=ooc]OOC: Any information on where the particular thieves were when they disappeared (i.e. which squares did we last see each of the thieves) - seems overly vague in the description. Move: Move to W13 (via T12, U12, V12). Minor: Additional perception check: Perception (1d12+13=21). Standard: Ready action to attack when an adjacent foe becomes visible. [Overwhelming Strike: 1d20+7=18, 1d20+7=23, only take first result if person appearing isn't her oath victim. Damage: 1d12+6=10 and Izera will shift foe as necessary to get out of any flanks.
