A Paid Trip to Spellhold [D&D 4e]

Izera, Female Githzerai Avenger

Izera

Seeing what was clearly slavers revealed to her, Izera moved swiftly to engage the foes before they could mount a reasonable defense. Izera took no notice of the comments made to her, other than a brief glance in the speakers direction. "Time for you to have a talk with your ancestors," the githzerai pointed out to one of the thieves, as she moved into position to strike him down. The large blade in her hand looked almost weightless and she swung it at her foe.

[Sblock=OOC, Barrelrider]I lose my roll twice if I'm adjacent to more than one foe, so I didn't attack the one you indicated. Luckily it didn't matter as I didn't roll a 19, :([/sblock]
[sblock]OOC: Initiate base is +6. Move action: Move S13, (or, wherever possible to get adjacent to a single foe, in this case Thief 6). Minor Action: Oath of Enmity S6 (or whoever she's adjacent to). [sblock=Keia] Oops. I need to get more familiar with the avenger, apparently. Hopefully Thurinar and Rudin can take advantage of the boost.[/sblock]
[sblock=VV] That might work. I'll try to include that in my action post each round. For this round, assume that if anyone is flanked by two thieves and the first attack misses, I'll try to slide them out of the flank. Or, if one of the ranged folk gets cornered.[/sblock]

As the battle continued, Issia turned towards the cluster of thieves that had no allies directly intermixed with them, seeing an opportunity to let loose without striking allies. Moving swiftly to stand next to the recently freed dwarf, her rage boiled over, maw opening to release a gush of acidic liquid in the thieves direction, intermixed with a draconic roar reminiscent of her ancestors.

[sblock=OOC]
Move to S11, using Dragon Breath in a Close Blast 5 to strike all three thieves nearest her.
Attack 1d20+6=10, 1d20+6=18, 1d20+6=7, 1d6+1=6

Note: I screwed up at first, forgetting that I roll multiple attacks for AoE's, in case you wondered... so I rerolled including all three attacks. And yes, I hate my crappy luck. [/sblock]

Issia and Izera gather at the door, releasing their respective powers over the poor thieves, who can but scream in pain, as the githzerai swings her full blade, tearing chunks of flesh, and the dragonborn sorcerers sprays them with acid!
Mithalor and Daven focus on the assailants on the other side of the room. The bard sends powerful sound waves to one of the shadow thieves. The disoriented man tumbles upon. Mithalor pounds the ground with the tip of his spear, and a rune appears under the far away thug. It explodes in thunder and lightning, electrocuting the thief, but invigorating Cliff!
The shadow servant inside the room takes a knife out of his belt and throws it at Issia. The tiny blade sinks in her arm, and although the wound is superficial, she feels the poison spreading. However, her draconic heritage proves too much for a human-made poison!

Taran roars and his form begins to melt and reshaping into a panther like creature with a manticore like tail. He swings the tail and showers the enemies in spikes.

Thurinar skips back, and knocks another arrow. Letting it fly, zings past Rudin, and lands in a Shadowthief, lighting him up with constant flickering bursts of bright radiance. The other Shadowthieves eyes have trouble adjusting to the sudden light, slowing their blades down.

[sblock=OOC]

Minor shift R11

Standard Flickering Arrow on S7 20 vs AC for 19 damage. TE of Thurinar's NT S7 can't benefit from cover concealment or total concealment. In addition, Enemies within 5 squares of S7 take a -2 penalty to attack rolls.

If that doesn't hit use elven accuracy reroll, (+7). If that still doesn't hit, use inevitable Shot, to use Stinging Swarm against S6.
