Lochlan, HP 22/32, AC 16, F/R/W 14/14/17

OOC: Minor and mostly irrelevant nit: Lochlan doesn't use a Bow, he throws Bolas. :)

Now that the archer has been pushed overboard, Lochlan shifts his focus back to Kumar.

Standard: Grappling Spirits against Ku @ K8
Attack: (1d20+13=33) Critical Hit!

1) Damage: 11. (No roll required. Oddly enough, Distance Bola doesn't provide any extra dice on a crit...)

2) E is Slowed and cannot shift until the end of Lochlan's next turn.

(No roll required. Oddly enough, Distance Bola doesn't provide any extra dice on a crit...)

OOC: Easily explain, it cost the same as a plain magical weapon with the same bonus. So you have traded your magical critical damage bonus for an increase in range.

Round 9

The heroes combine their forces to bring Kumar down, they each attack coordinately, and although the pirate avoids being hit two or three times, Cliff's righteous fury, Lochlan's deadly aim and Chizz's arrows finish off the dread captain Kumar. The bolas coils around his neck, the arrows pierce his shoulder and the blade sinks deep in the captain's chest. With a last guttural scream, that spills black blood, life leaves the body of the captain, and he falls heavily on the floor, dead.
The slaves cheer and scream victory! You have defeated the feared Kumar and his right hand Salashan. Now the ship is yours.

The slaves cut off the ladders, leaving the archer to the sea.

OOC: The battle is over!

Taran shifts to his human form, he has several cuts and has an arrow wound in bad shape. "We better tend to our wounds now. We should see if there's anything of use in the corpses and in the captain room. There's also that room underdeck. Also, anybody has an idea how to navigate?? We are going to have a hard time getting anywhere if we don't" Says Taran with a worried expression on his face.

"I suggest we chain down the remaining pirates for the moment, and heal the wounded ones. We will see what to do with them later, but we might need some men to manned this ship. I have something to take back, I'll be back... " on that, Cliff turns around and enter Kumar's cabin and close the door behind him.

Once inside, Cliff starts to search the cabins and try to find what he once possessed and Kumar take to him after he was killed in his previous life.

I have sailed; I will keep us afloat and pointed in the right direction. Question is, where do we want to go? I know those pushy wizards had some of you roped into this Spellhold mission, and I'm good with that if you still want to do it. But we have a ship; we can go anywhere.

While discussing future plans with his fellow mutineers, Chizz looks over the ship for any battle damage. He then turns his attention to the freed slaves who are standing around uncertainly.

You men belong to no one now. But we will need your help to bring this ship to safety. For this trip we'll pay you standard seamen's wages, backdated to when we left port. When we next make landfall, any who wish can leave; those who want to stay on board will be hired as crew, if you're good enough to do the job. Those who qualify may even become officers, and get a share of profits from future voyages. But right now we need every one of you to get a good meal and then fall to work willingly; freedom is of little value if we don't make it to port.

Asterion kicks Kumar's body, then drags it to the port-side railing. He lifts the wicked pirate to the railing, does a quick search of the body's (especially taking any objects resembling a key), and dumps the body overboard.

"I commit you to the sea, you spiteful bastard."

Asterion pockets the keys and meets with his allies.

"Although I am no sailor, I know this ship well. I will stay with her as long as I may, and perhaps when you've done what you must do, I can return to the lands that this ship has beached on. I wish to undo the evil that Kumar made his life's work."
