My head is enormous. Normal baseball caps don't fit. I am always the exception to "One size fits all". I haven't worn a hat of any type in over 20 years. My dad was a ball cap/trucker hat guy. He might have worn a Cowboys hat if it was given to him, but you wouldn't catch him in a Rangers or Yankees hat.I’ve always been big on buying merch to display my fandom. And with the Rangers, their team colors (red, white & blue) lend some additional seasonal wearability.
But both of my Rangers caps come from an era when they were red, with the team logo- “T”- in navy & white. So I haven’t worn it outside of my backyard in at least a decade, to avoid any mistaken impressions IYKWIMAITTYD.
The most recent era had had a blue cap, but I’ll be damned if I’ll give them my money when I can’t watch the team.![]()
I remember being able to watch the Cubs on WGN and the Mets on WWOR as a kid. At some point WWOR wasn't available nationwide any longer. It was wild watching those channels, because they aired local commercials for things we didn't have here. I don't know if WGN still shows Cubs games. I don't think they do.In NYC you need to have SNY (a cable channel that comes with most packages) to see most Mets games (about 1 a week is on local broadcast tv WPIX) and YES to see Yankees games.
Similarly, here in Pittsburgh to see the Pirates you need access to to the Root.
I paid for MLB.tv to watch Mets games for years since moving to Pittsburgh (but ironically could not watch when the played the local team due to blackouts) but cancelled it this year. I have basically given up on MLB after paying and barely watching the last 3 to 4 years (and not at all last year)
WWOR is where/how I watched games growing up.I remember being able to watch the Cubs on WGN and the Mets on WWOR as a kid. At some point WWOR wasn't available nationwide any longer. Red sox are on nesn . I think it’s a higher tier than basic cable. Tv38I think the Red Sox is on a local channel every night in season. It used to be TY38, but I'm guessing things get bought up and moved.
Although I do not watch baseball, or basketball but they seem on TV a lot as well. I still have cable so I see things while flipping through.
This makes the user name make sense.Red sox are on nesn . I think it’s a higher tier than basic cable. Tv38. We are dating ourselves with that reference
