A Sailor Talks Too Much (El Jefe Judging)(completed)

Verrick scrupulosly tells the truth.

Verrick openly approaches the pair, greeting Lookspring as he does so.

I am sorry that I took so much longer than I said I was going to be. I guess I became a bit lost. It's almost our curfew. Time head back.

I just hope this isn't too serious, he thinks to himself as he reveals his presence.

"Ah, you are returning. This is good, have all the lily's been shaken? Watch-man here thinking I bes someone who is up to no good." He turns to the watchman. "Are you seeing now? I am finding my companion just as I bes saying. We should bes 'moving along' as the watch-man says."

Verrick picks up where he left off

Assuming the watchman has nothing substantial to say or offers no impediment to their egress, Verrick will signal good evening to the watchman, then follow Lookspring's direction away.

The watchman stands looking at the pair not sure what to do. He looks as though he is waiting for someone to tell him what to do. He does not interfere as Verrick and Lookspring make their exit.

[sblock=Lookspring] You smell strong drink on Verrick. Much as you would expect from someone whom had spent the last few minutes in a bar downing drinks.[/sblock]

Lookspring hurries along down the street with Verrick in tow. Reaching the main street he checks his bearings and starts off towards where the warehouse is. As he moves he sniffs the air and picks up the tell tale stench of alcohol. He glares up at the human. "You reek of drink! You drank while we captured Uggla! You should go back to the bar and let us handle this if you can't control yourself."

Verrick is at a loss for words

I am glad to hear that you were able rescue Uggla. Are we going to meet with him and our companions?

Making a motion with his hand across his chest as if to mark a sash, Verrick continues: "I met with some unexpected friends, and decided that the Snooty Pig was not the best place for a drink."

As he and Lookspring continue to walk, Verrick keeps an eye out for too curious faces, and for anyone following them.

Lookspring snorts but accepts his explanation. He answers, "Aye, they are going to the warehouse, we will try to catch up. They are vulnerable now without us to protect them."

Verrick finds his feelings hurt

Noticing his short companions snort, Verrick feels the need to defend his contribution.

Come on, It's not like I was having any fun. The stuff they gave me to drink was extremely vile. It was all I could do not to pass out just from a small sip of it. And to add insult to all of this, I was the one paying for the drinks.

Unfortunately, Verrick finds it difficult to express this thought to Lookspring, as he whispered it all trying to avoid drawing attention to themselves. Besides which, though he was ambulatory, he still suffered some small effects from those vile drinks, and Lookspring didn't seem to inclined to be close enough to readily understand Verrick's whispered words. Close enough to understand meant close enough to smell.

As the main group reaches the agreed upon point where Ray separates to keep an eye on them an intercept anyone coming after them the group takes a moment to look around to ensure they are not being watched or followed. Seeing nothing out of the ordinary they do so.

Ray blends into the shadows and takes a different route.

Pinkie and Phoenix continue to help Uggla along, the effects his drinking severely affecting his ability to walk. One block after making their first turn along the route Uggla becomes ill and forces the group to stop a moment.

Phoenix is supporting Uggla to prevent him drowning, although not in a way a loved one would or even a friend but in a cold uncaring necessity to keep him alive. Pinkie has backed away a bit to keep her clothing clean.

[sblock= Ray] Moving along the route you see the group stop and watch Uggla get ill. As you scan the area for any threat you notice someone in the shadows trailing the group. It appears to be an individual of medium size.[/sblock]

[sblock= Pinkie] As you notice Uggla is going to be ill you leave Phoenix with him and as you back away you spot someone trailing you in the shadows about 60 feet back.[/sblock]

[sblock= Verrick and Lookspring] As you reach the front of the snooty pig you see the group has gone and a crowd has gathered around the body in the street. It appears a few more watchmen have arrived. As you look around for any clue as to where the group has gone you see what appears to be your party to the south and they seem to be turning west and then disappear behind the buildings.[/sblock]
