OOC: If the rest of the group is still engaged in melee when Verrick catches up to them, He will charge the nearest attacker engaged in melee. He autofails with a attack roll of 1.

Taking the light hit in stride, Phoenix turns back to the attackers with a wide grin spreading across her face, "Finally, somebody to slice!" Seeing one of her attackers trip over Uggla Pheonix reacts quickly stabbing downward, she first goes after the already tripped up foe and feels a sense of satisfaction as her blade digs deep into the mans back, caught up in the battle she quickly turns on her standing assailant delivers a solid blow that finds a way through the mans guard to draw blood.

Ooc: I gave an AoO for the man falling into a threatening square and a normal attack on the standing assailant.

Running Lookspring and Verrick round the corner to see the group engaged in combat. Verrick picks up his pace to engage the enemy in melee, while Lookspring skids to a halt and tries a difficult shot into the foray. As he releases the arrow he knows that it is on the mark and watches his shot bury itself in the side of the man as Phoenix skewers him in the back.

Ooc: Verrick will be able to charge into the fight and attack his next turn.

Ray sees the assault on Pinkie....His first instinct is to move to a position in between Pinkie and her attacker. Realizing he may not be able to get there He fires at the threat, a difficult shot but he feels he can not let Pinkie down and feals some relief as he watches his arrow burry itself in the mans side.

[sblock= Ray, Verrick, Lookspring] You see 2 figures turn and run away from the seen, apparently more attackers that see value in not entering a difficult fight. You can not get a shot at them as they disappear from sight into an alley.[/sblock]

Uggla somewhat regaining his senses with the battle raging around and over him assaults the man lying next to him with a flurry of blows in which he does not relent. His blows seem awkward and without force but nonetheless the man’s head reels under the blows.

Pinkies attacker steps to attack as she backs away but stops dumbfounded as he sprouts Rays arrow. He stands and stares at it, then moves to withdraw from the fight.

Phoenix’s attacker distressed at seeing his comrade’s fall or run takes a 5 foot step away and fights defensively and in desperation tries to withdraw as well.

Seeing that there is no longer any immediate danger, Verrick will attempt to give first aid(1d20+2=17) to any of their attackers who have fallen. (Or if by some chance one of his companions should fall, to that person.)

OOC: If there still appears to be some danger, ie there appears an assailant who is not retreating, then Verrick will carry out his previously stated (horribly failed) charge.

Lookspring hurries over to check on Uggla and ensure that their package is still fit and hale. After doing so he checks on the others and asks, "Any of you injured enough to be slowing us down? We must be getting off the street quickly before more come."

As her attacker attempts to break off the fight and exit Phoenix pursues and and thrusts but misses her target as she yells "C'mon! Don't leave now. This is the most fun I've had all night!"
Pinkie recovers from the blow she took and spins as her attacker backs away with an arrow in his side. She attacks and draws blood dropping her attacker.

Ray takes a shot at one of the fleeing men but his shot sails wide and he sees them disappear in the shadows.

Verrick arrives on the scene and assesses the casualties and applies first aid to Pinkies assailant and manages to get him stabilized.

Lookspring arrives checks Uggla to see his bruised but not seriously injured, and encourages a quick onward move "Any of you injured enough to be slowing us down? We must be getting off the street quickly before more come."

Verrick saves a life, but will he be allowed to keep him?

It seems that we have not escaped the Snooty Pig undetected. We must act quickly to escape. However it concerns me that we have attracted this attention. I have already dealt with sailors whose arrival we expected, but who are these individuals who now vex us?

We must retreat from the public's view, yet what are we to do with this fellow?
Verrick indicates the fallen attacker.

OOC: What has been the reaction to this rather public altercation?

The people have left the street to take shelter, hide, or just go somewhere with less chance of catching arrows. You are in shady part of town where inhabitants are used to some violence, but not such a show of force other than the city watch - which are not currently around to see you, since you have moved around the corner from the snooty pig and out of sight.
