Just to confirm that Crag is opening the door, haven't seen that posted yet, just teh suggestion to do that[/sblock]

[sblock=ooc] my bad, I thought I had already done so in character... here we go![/sblock]

Crag opens the door a little bit, tossing in a sun rod to provide light. With that done, Crag brandishes his longsword while hefting his shield up in front of him for good measure. "Pulling" open the door with the flat of his blade, Crag strides into the next room, fully expecting another fight.

"Here we go. Be ready."

As Crag moves to use his blade to open the door, you feel the weight of what must be mud from the next room pushing against the door, making it difficult to open.

Strength check to open DC 16[/sblock]

[sblock=ooc]Uh oh, maybe we'd better stand back from the door then... although Ingot can help with the Strength check if necessary.[/sblock]

With a great heave, Crag forces the door open, pushing against the ankle deep mud that's in the room, which spills out into the room you're in.

This stone vault is lined with shelves holding many strange devices. Some of them even appear to be intact and might be valuable. However, your most pressing concern lies at the southern end of the room, in a small alcove, where a thick, stone staff juts out from a swirling vortex of mud and spews forth a steady deluge of elemental muck.

Seeing the object of his goal, Crag charges into the room to grab the staff.

Double move to get to the staff. Minor action to grab the staff if he is able to get all the way to the staff. [/sblock]

Ingot stares across the room at the staff. It seems ambivalent, impressed by the object's obvious arcane power, yet repelled by how that arcane power is making such a terrible mess.

After a few seconds it refocuses on Crag, clicking its mouth open and shut a couple of times in amusement at its friend's eagerness. "Be careful, Crag!" it says, and steps into the room and away from the flow of mud.

Ingot moves into the room a couple of squares south of the mudflow, but not all the way to the wall.
