A Simple Errand (DM:renau1g, Judge: covaithe)

Ingot begins to cheer at Crag's counterattack, but then refocuses as Meepo jumps on off its back and launches at the dwarf on the wall. Seeing the kobold's feet dangling directly in front of its eyelights, it reaches up, grasps the kobold's ankles, and pulls.

[sblock=Actions]Move - ??? Kind of confused after all the pushing and so forth, does Ingot have to move in order to reach dangling Meepo? If so, move there.
Standard - (assuming the dwarf resisted Meepo's roll, which seems likely) Strength check (1d20+5=14) Eh, not awesome, but might have a chance...
Looks like nobody needs healing so...
Move - if the dwarf is not pulled down, and Ingot didn't have to move above, move to K10 seeking a bit of cover against the gnomes.[/sblock]

Even Jax is a little surprised at how fast the big man fell. What a wuss. He turns his attention to Crag, who is now surrounded by hostiles. Jax skirts around the reach of the men to get behind one of them. With the guard so distracted by Crag, it's easy for Jax to pinpoint the thinnest part of the hide armor at the waistline and stab into the small of the man's back.

Jax's blade cuts a supporting strap of the armor, causing it to shift lopsidedly onto one side. The guard is vulnerable, at least for a few seconds until he can readjust his armor.

Taking his beating in stride, the stone skinned warden looks around at the guards around him before giving them a wicked grin. Calling upon his patron spirit of earth, Crag summons a horde of halfling shaped piles of stone. Jumping out at the warforged's enemies, the summoned horde attempts to grab onto one or more of the guard's legs before sinking halfway back into the ground.

With the guards distracted by the horde, Crag takes a moment to reach into his innermost reserves of energy, repairing his massively dented and torn chassis. Crag's cloak shimmers for a moment as he synchronizes with his newly purchased magical item, further knitting together the torn strands of wood and metal that make up the warden's form.

Dorn's mouth falls open at Crag's heroic display of resilience in the face of so many adversaries, though his reaction cannot be seen through the shadowy veil of his shroud.

The half-orc (along with his shroud) moves across the battlefield. I hope his defenses can take a little more punishment, Dorn thinks.

"Crag! Incoming!"

A blast of cold erupts right in front of Crag's feet, sending shards of freezing arcane power everywhere. Unable to fully control his own power, a blast of force erupts from Dorn, pushing anything and everyone in its wake.

The spell finishes off the enemy that Jax and Crag had been working on.

Unsure of whether or not his plan would work, Meepo knew there was nothing to it but to do it. "Well, here goes nothing."

He jumped backwards and then pointed at the dwarf on the wall. "You're mine, stonechild." Meepo bolted forwards, scrambling up Ingot's back, and without pause, wrapped a length of the whip around the dwarfs right leg. "Ha, I have you now," Meepo shouted in victory before penduluming straight into the wall. He collided with a thud, only managing to a feeble "What!"

He planted his feet firmly against the wall and jumped backward, trying to use leverage to bring the dwarf down. As he swings close to Ingot, he feels the warforged grab his scaly leg. "Yay! Teamwork. All kobolds know two are better than one, and that five are better than two."

The dwarf strains against the warforged and pulls hard himself, shaking the enemies off.

You notice that there are some sort of straps tying the dwarf down. It'll likely be very difficult to pull him off.

The dwarf fires a shot at the kobold in front of him, but after seeing the devastation that Jax caused, he shouts out "Kill that one first, we'll get the big ones after" and a pair of bolts fly out of the darkness and slam into the rogue. The guards try and attack him, but Crag's distraction is enough for Jax to avoid their blows.

Dwarf - fires at Meepo - vs ac; dmg (1d20+12=25, 1d8+3+1d6=10) hits for 10.

Gnome 11 hides from Jax and then steps out and fires at the kobold - vs ac; dmg (1d20+9=21, 1d6+3+1d6=13) hits for 13

Gnome 87 fires at Jax - vs ac; dmg (1d20+9=17, 1d6+3+1d6=10) hits for 10 and bloodied. He moves out of sight.

Guard 93 shifts to G6 - attacks Jax - vs ac; dmg (1d20+6=16, 1d10+3=11) miss, but trigger Crag's attack - vs fort; dmg (1d20+9=12, 1d8+5=8) miss.

G45 - attacks Jax - vs ac; dmg (1d20+6=16, 1d10+3=8) - forgot -2 for mark so even bigger miss

Jax clutches one arm in pain after a crossbow bolt grazes him. While sidestepping the blows from the guards, he says urgently to Crag, "Arggh! Come here and get these softskins off me!"

[sblock=crag / r1]Crag: Whatever you do with your action, would you mind ending it at H6? Now that the guards are focusing on me, I want to attack and run off to hide in the trees for a round. I can use clever strike to still get sneak attack if you're adjacent. (If you can't manage it with whatever you have planned, no big deal of course)

R1: How thick is the brush? Would being a few squares into it be enough to do a stealth check?[/sblock]

ooc: strapped to the top of the wall? seriously? :)

"The dwarf has tied himself to the wall there," Ingot calls out. "We'll have to blast him down." Shifting its attention to ground level, it sees the blood streaming from Jax's scaled hide. "Vulkar, once again I beseech your aid for my companion Jax," it prays quickly, and healing energy refreshes the kobold. Next it takes a few long strides and wades into the rubble where one of the gnomes lurks. Its chest-mounted holy symbol rotates a half turn and radiant energy envelops its blade. But the swing passes harmlessly over the gnome's head.

[sblock=Actions]Minor: Healing Word on Jax, surge plus (1d6+3=4) Weak. :(
Move: Walk to I11
Standard: Healing Strike vs. gnome. (Does he have cover? I'll add in the -2 just in case.) Well it doesn't matter, Ingot misses badly[/sblock]

Seeing his foes shift their focus over towards Jax, Crag swung his blade around him in a threatening manner, hoping to keep the guards distracted enough for Jax to get out of reach. Although the ice that Dorn threw out at him and the guards gunked up some of his joints, when a couple of the guards took a threatening step towards the kobold, Crag stepped in between two of them and stabbed southward, piercing the guards armor and inflicting a minor wound. The metal chassis protecting Crag's organic innards became infused with the strength of the ground beneath his feet and he silently thanked the spirits of the earth for their assistance.

"Jax, you can't just stand there and get pounded on, like me! Thank you for helping, but I can handle it from here!"

Jax's crossbow bolt wounds begin to mend with the help of Ingot's deity. Now feeling almost a second wind of bravery, Jax stabs wildly at Crag's human target until he hits something soft. Then, he bravely runs away into the treeline.

The thick bushes give way under Jax's weight surprisingly easily, leaving an obvious trail as to where he went.

[sblock=actions/stats]Standard: Clever strike vs Guard 45 (or 93 if Crag already dropped 45) hits AC 28 for 19 damage.
Minor: Shifty to I4.
Move: Walk to I1, stealth at the end of the move: 11 (including -5), so Jax is probably not hidden from anyone. The superior cover / total concealment is still useful at least.
