A Teacher for Laynie: Mystery at the Academy (Part 2)

OOC: No, that's bad.

Vanitri will make haste heading towards the Dark Lord (double move). Unless he can figure out how the DDoor suddently

(OOC: Uh, no such luck on the DDoor Note that the Dark Lord has no weapons drawn, so if you Sprint, you can get up next to him without an AoO problem, whereas if he can move at least 30 feet per round, he can increase distance and force you to spend two more rounds to close (95 + 30 = 125, which is more than two double moves). Still just going to double-move?)

 

[Bront]

OOC: Nah, sprint sounds good, since he'll have an AoO problem potentialy.

 

[Rystil Arden]

*Vanitri dashes forward as fast as he can towards the Dark Lord, abandoning all defense to do so.*

"Vanitri, why the swords? I don't want to hurt you," the Dark Lord assures, "In fact, when I am restored, how would you like to be at my side? We can try to make the world a better place. What do you say?"

 

[Bront]

"Not at the expense of the lives and freedom of others," He says. "If you thought otherwise of me, then you don't realy know me now, do you?"

Vanitri looks for a good opening to strike with his weapons, while also wondering from this vantage point he can spot who it is under the cloak.

 

[Rystil Arden]

*Vanitri looks under the hood but can't actually see anyone under it, as if it is only darkness. Still, he can catch glimpses of skin lower down, though it is usually swathed in darknes.*

"On the contrary, Vanitri. I have your testimony that you wouldn't strike the killing blow to save a whole kingdom. Rather sweet of you, touching really. Come now--killing those you love is harder than you think, wouldn't you agree?"

 

[Bront]

"Laynie?"

(OOC: Good, you notice the quote taken directly from post 918 )

"Not exactly, but if you slip that sword in here, that's who you'll be killing," the Dark Lord replies simply, "Now if you drop your weapons, why don't we talk this out like rational adults?"

 

[Bront]

"I think that rational part went out the window when you killed Aldin," Vanitri says. "You can at least drop the hood so we can talk face to face."
