OOC: yeah, well, then probably no lex is the best solution. Any chance Vanitri can wander a year or two being fairly uninterupted (IE, not too adventure worthy, maybe some quick summaries or highlight enounters). Basicly, he'd show Laynie a little more of the world, find a freefolk caravan to travel with for a bit, and eventualy end up back at the Accademy for a reunion with Lex and to get her into the program.

(OOC: No Lex is fine too--it is up to you. I'm willing to help play the cohort for you if lack of ability to play her is the hold up. If you want to claim the two years of wandering, I guess you could, but that means it will be four years since he left with her--think that would be too long of a time distortion with the other PCs?)

OOC: Perhaps, but it's not like it's a huge deal. Vanitri's only interacted much with about 4-5 PCs. I'd rather do that and no cohort (at the moment). I'm realy not seeing him with a follower type cohort, and we're stetching Lex to wander. Besides, time is off for a lot of games. I was in one game where Van went from Orussis to Earling overnight on a chariot :uhoh:

(OOC:  One night? :D So you're thinking to wait two more years? Sorry but I don't think under LEW rules she'd work as a PC. This is why the inflexible rules here are sometimes sad. If this was my Living World, you could have totally kept Laynie/Lex if you wanted :()

OOC: Hehe, yeah, no problem. Like I said, I don't nessessarily see Lex going either, so I'll just wing it. But yeah. I figure a good bye dinner with Lex, then off to see the world with Laynie, then bring her back and get her enrolled and dinner with Lex again, then probably head off. Maybe Lex will have found someone else, maybe not.

(OOC: Hmmm...Actually, I just realised that there is a story-arc reason that I can't allow the additional two other years to pass yet. It's based on the time dilation with Immortality Awakens (where Laynie was an NPC initially). Any other ideas? Do you think a GM will let Laynie tag along as an NPC if she promises to be good? :D  She doesn't really have any attacks usually, just very high Spellcraft and Knowledge: Arcana)

OOC: I can ask ;) Or perhaps Vanitri can grab a group and head back to the accademy after he does his next adventure. That lets him wander a bit, still return for Laynie and Lex, and it may only be a few months. In fact, I think I'm going to play that angle for now, as that seems best.
