Level Up (A5E) A5e and 2024 PHB

I'm wondering if anyone is planning to go through the 2024 WotC PHB and find the things that impact you if you want to maintain compatibility with other 5e systems. Or or finding and creating a list of the things now differ in the core mechanics. I'm imagining the things I've seen in reviews of the new PHB that might be worth considering as 'house rules' or porting into your game, like drinking potions as a bonus action or allowing character to fail saving throws voluntarily. I love being able to have these types or rules available to optionally incorporate make things smoother or more fun for individual tables. I have done this with the ToV Luck system and merged it with the destiny system and it's very fun.

Are there any such rules you've heard from the 2024 PHB rules that are worth consideration to port into A5e? Other systems that have similar things worth looking at?

Potions as a bonus action would kill some existing features, I don't know how I feel about that one. Off the top of my head, rogues bonus action and the ?quick drink? maneuver let you drink as a bonus.

I kind of always assumed a character could fail saves voluntarily, but I guess that's something I might've taken with me from earlier editions.

Luck from ToV is great, albeit very powerful. I sort of wrote off Destinies when I brought it in.. for a few reasons.

I've continued to allow portions as a bonus action as a house rule when we converted. It works fine, maybe because we don't have a rogue but also included that a potion as an action gives maximum potential.

I'm fine with keeping with LU, LU 3pp, 2014 3pp, and homebrew for my game. LU 3pp is ongoing (and awesome), and I'm very glad for it, because my biggest personal concern regarding 5.5 is that 3pp will be following on with its design ethos, which I passionately dislike.

Yeah, I mean if we’d wanted potions to be bonus actions, we’d have made them bonus actions. But of course it’s your game and you can run it anyway you wish! :)
Totally!
The only thing from D&D '24 I'm sure to adopt is the new conjure/summon spells. I'll look at other things and evaluate if they add any value, or if they might cause weird interactions.
I'll have to look at those too. I liked the single summons spells a little more than the summon a hoard.

If I've got an adventuring party with no one looking to play a 'Healer' I do bonus action healing. I also now (and will forever) run Cure Wounds as 3d4+Mod at 1st level and improving by 3d4 each level above 1st just to make it scale more effectively compared to both healing potions and enemy weapon attacks.

Healing Word starts at 2d4 and goes up 2d4, too. Rallying Surge is 3d4+Level, also. So. Y'know.

Healing is always going to be useful and worthwhile at my table rather than playing the 0hp yo-yo game.
