Well, I'm not sure what you want us to say, but I've also been a planetouched fan for some time. It's a shame, really, that RoF didn't develop the two newish races from MMII, though.
yeah, i remember your idea for a "crossroads" campaign world with humans and plane-touched as the only races. that still sounds like a really cool idea.

actually, i just started in a new campaign and i'm playing a zenythri sohei. (the zenythri are the lawful plane-touched from MM2).

i've only played him one session so far, but he seems pretty capable. they would make devastating monks: +2 Str, +2 Dex, +2 Wis, +2 Balance, true strike 1/day among other things. and strangely enough, monk is their favored class. :p i thought about making my character a monk but i like hacking at people with weapons too much...

I loved Tieflings when they were introduced in Planescape, and felt the same way about Aasimar and Genasi when they were added later on.
I created a tiefling and an aasimar PC, neither of which I ever got the chance to use. Later a friend wanted to test a campaign he was going to run when he went back to college after vacation and I made a spur of the moment aasimar for that. It was actually a really cool PC. Unfortunately she was only needed for one session and I never got to use her again (my first and only female PC too).

Since the planetouched were reintroduced in 3E I haven't had the chance to play one. But I plan on having some as npcs in the campaign I'm running. I was a little dissapointed when I saw that they had ECLs, but oh well.

The new feats and stuff for them in RoF look pretty nice. Those new Tanarukk look pretty fearsome too.

Thanks Joshua Dyal, I didn't miss them until you brought them up. :( :p
Now that you mention it though, it would have been nice to see more about them.

I leave Planetouched as ECL +1, but I do make some minor tweaks.

2e Tiefling got a Charisma bonus. 3e Half Fiends get a Charisma bonus. Why does 3e Tiefling take a Charisma penalty? I can't think of any rationale for this that does not annoy me.

I change the Tiefling's -2 CHA penalty into a +2 CHA bonus, and then give the Aasimar +2 STR, and leave both at ECL +1 without adjust their other abilities.

I haven't looked at Genasi (or Para/Quasi Genasi) much, or either variant of the Lawful and Chaotic planetouched.

Githzerai are better. One more level of adjustment, but they get Inertial Armor for free, +6 DEX and +2 WIS. Their psionics package is pretty decent, too. Make for hella good Diamond Warriors.
