Intelligence.

I aleready am Joe Average in all of the other stats (well, Joe Half-Orc in the Charisma department...), so it wouldn't take much getting used to. ;)

Wisdom. If I could realize things better, I could think them through more. Like being on here when math homework and laundry needs a doing. I swear I have a 7 IRL.

I have 18s in all my other stats so I chose wisdom ;) . But seriously I chose intelegence. In our modern world you need to be as smart as possible to suceed. And while I'm pretty intelegent I'm not that smart!

I voted Charisma. Win/win, lI'm fine with everything else - but if everyone would finally wise up and do exactly what I say then I imagine that I'd be a lot happier. And hey, you would all be happier too - because I said so.

I would go for Wisdom, for the same kind of reasons that others have explained (willpower, insight and possibly serenity), but I think Charisma would actually get you further in today's western world.
I'm not sure then if not picking Cha is due to low Wis or low Cha IRL :)

You can never underestimate what a woman with an 18 cha could accomplish.

But with my 18 Wis, I could pretty much sense her motive. Or at least make my will save!

On another note, a quick reminder to everyone that the way I described it, having an 18 in one stat doesn't turn you incompetent everywhere else. All your other stats would be average. So you wouldn't be stupid, weak, clumsy, etc. You just would not be "exceptionally gifted" in those other areas.

As for me, I buck the trend and pick constitution. As far as I am concerned, excellent health is the biggest blessing in the world. Wisdom rates a close second, though, because I think it would contribute to my personal happiness. As long as I am happy and healthy (the two go hand in hand as far as I'm concerned), I don't care about the rest of it.

The more I think about it, though, when you look around U.S. society at very successful people (particularly in certain professions), it is interesting just how many people have built a career on a high charisma and little else.
