Abondoning a class

You can pick up levels in another class and retain the abilities of the PrC. Unless the PrC specifically prohibits you from doing so, you can pick levels from another class, pick one from the PrC, and switch back and forth between the two (or three, or four...). It's just like regular multi-classing.

It is almost just like regular multi-classing, but for one thing, you do not have to worry about the -20% penalty to XP unlike normal multi-classing just between the core classes.

And I can't recall any that do.

Hmm... Warpriest from DotF? I'm away from my books...

And blue-on-black might not be too bad, but someone using a theme with a blue background might see nothing at all...

The Warpriest requires atonement if you leave the class and before you can take more levels in it. I have a feeling that's for those who take a level of warpriest, leave, come back, leave, come back, etc.... not for those who continue for all 10 levels and then go back to their regular class.

I would love to have a warforged multiclassed as

Paladin 3/Cleric 1/Ranger 1/Rogue 1/Wizard 1/Monk 1

He'd be completely unable to gain XP, with the excuse that his memory banks are full. If he could somehow gain another class, he'd have a -120% XP penalty, meaning level drains would make him gain XP.

oh why warforged?

Yeah but a human could do it :) they would just have to back down the line
P3/C2/Ra2/ro2/wz2/m1
then declare that monk is the class that is exempt from the penalty - etc.
and end as a 20th lvl char P3/C4/Ra4/Ro4/Wz4/mk1
*wanders off to write it up*

I had a human nicknamed "bubble head" and for story/humor reasons was a Cleric (of spring) 1/bard 1/rogue 1/fighter1/paladin 1 then fighter 2, and had fallen in love with a wizard, and was studying magic. :)

Can't.

"Favored Class: Any. When determining whether a multiclass human takes an experience point penalty, his or her highest-level class does not count."

The human doesn't get a choice - for your sample character, his favoured class is Paladin. If he takes a couple more Cleric levels, his favoured class becomes Cleric.

You can't "declare" a class exempt from the XP penalty, IIRC...it simply applies to the highest-level class you have.

By 'hard to see,' you mean 'annoying for people to read, and especially self indulgent when you're asking for help.' Once in a while it's worth sacrificing verisimillitude in order to be considerate. :)

No, no....not annoying. Just hard to see, like I said. Luvin's like a quadruple 2-to-1 line multiplexer. Implement with Enable, and you'll enable him. Luvin remains TRUE!!

Piratecat asked you nicely not to abuse the color tags. Since that didn't work, I'm taking them from you. I'll let the mods decide when to give them back (This change affects all your future posts).

I can read the blue just fine also. Some people might not like it, but does that make it "abuse?" This guy may have a slightly off-putting desire to cling to the blue, but to me that just looks like creative "use." Seems a little harsh to take away his ability to use color tags just because a few people don't like it.

So that I don't have my privileges taken away, what exactly is the line between use and abuse of color tags?
