That Daggerheart is experiencimg a bigger cultural moment than Shadowdark? I do feel comfortable making that claim, though you are right that the Kickstarter limits are not the limit of who plays Shadowdark, it does indicate that it is a different size category of success.
Maybe. Gimme the size of DH their print runs first.

I mean, it is already an order of magnitude bigger than Shadowdark: not to diss Dhadowdark, but it has a customer base just over 12,000, based on the Kickstarters:
Nah, that’s old news. It’s in retail now and has been available on their store for over a year.
Daggerheart seems to be in the hundreds of thousands, based on the Demiplane data.
Nah, that’s what a D&D book does. It’s like using DDB user figures to determine who’s buying D&D. Hell, in that case, the number of people who have used A5E.tools in the last year means we’re in re hundreds of thousands! And I can assure you that that does not reflect our sales figures.

The only data you can use to determine sales figures is… sales figures. And we don’t have those.

The idea of something like Shadowheart is quite appealing though. Swap out the superhero fantasy for something far darker and grittier. A fiction-first OSR game. Hmm...
