Yeah. I really doubt they want to take down D&D. D&D brings tons of new players into the market, many of whom may move on to other pastures. D&D being here only helps Daggerheart grow.

take down and replace with nothing, definitely not. The assumption would be to take its position, not to just kill it, in which case they would then be the ones onboarding new players.

That being said, anyone who creates a new TTRPG with the goal to unseat D&D… has highly unrealistic expectations

Where are you seeing the ISBN information? Or for that matter the info on errata & print runs?

That's not just from that article, but if you search out what makes an "Edition" of a book...it's the ISBN.

What are you aiming at here? Does it matter to you whether DH is on its 1st or 5th printing? Is it a collector thing?

it has valuation issues, and errata issues, both of which are important to a significant chunk.
I suspect that the second run was just an "extend the run"; I bought just as things ran out, and had to wait for a new shipment to Amazon; this implies 2nd printing... but my book says "First printing."
