I've been listening to several of these podcasts that were recommended and while entertaining, I just can't get over the fact that they're pretty much all a hard M or R in their content rating. Perhaps I'm just a prude, though.

I like how Crit Juice implemented a sort of listener engagement/interaction. They would have them write in ideas that would go to a stack of cards used for various things (drinking rules, crit fail effects, etc.) and would send merch to those whose idea was picked. That's pretty fun, though probably worked better for them since they already had a following.

Crit Juice is certainly, eh... colorful, to say the least. I don't mind, but I know that can be a turn off for some.
