[Adamant] FAR WEST Kickstarter Launched

First Post
We are very pleased to announce that the Kickstarter crowdfunding program for the FAR WEST Adventure Game - Limited Edition has now gone live!

The FAR WEST Adventure Game is a tabletop RPG featuring blazing sixguns, over-the-top kung fu action and far-out steampunk inventions, where you and your friends can create the adventures of warriors who wander the Dust Road — fighting for their clans, their cause, the oppressed, or their own interests in an endless frontier that lies beyond the confines of civilization.

Explore the Thousand Mesas, Climb the peaks of the Eagle’s Claws, Walk the dangerous streets of Sedoa, the wicked city. Thwart the plans of the Steam Barons and the August Throne. Travel beyond the Last Horizon in an airship that stays aloft through control of the positive and negative furies that make up the entire world. All this and more await you in the Far West.

The Kickstarter starts with a minimum pledge of $10 (for an electronic copy), with signed and numbered copies of the hardcover starting at $50 -- and we've got a ton of other great rewards at different pledge levels, including T-Shirts, limited-edition Art prints, and much more: Including a specific level for retailers, distributors and libraries who want to take advantage of the opportunity!

You can visit the Kickstarter page and view our promotional video here.

Feel free to spread that video around: We're really proud of it!

We hope so -- the funding will be open until August 25th, and the more we raise, the more we can do.

If your local game store would like to get in on the Limited Edition (which won't be available through distribution), point them at the retailer-specific pledge level!

He had mutiple tweets promising a December release this year. He has... Fenris checks his watch... an hour to make that happen. The suspense is killing me.

That is amazing. Makes you wonder: was there ever a point where he intended to create the game, or was it a straight rip-off from the onset?

There still is a website with artwork. I think the game is in development hell of the developer's own making.

As an aside, the appearance of this thread made me think a new kickstarter for the game was being launched.

According to the Muted Horn he (i.e. Skarka) posted on Twitter that the release date for the backer PDF has been pushed back to January 2022. Surprise!

Me too.

That's a hell of a thread bump.

I actually remember when this kickstarter came out. I really liked the sound of it but at the time just couldn't justify spending the cash on something my group wouldn't be into and I'd be buying just to read. Dodged a bullet there.

Now i can afford it I'd still jump all over a similar-themed project by someone else, mind you.

When he was working for OBS (rpgnow.com back then), I found out he had used some of my art I was selling on RPGNow without paying me for it. When I reached out, he said he was sorry and paid me. But it left enough of a bad taste that I wasn't going to back any of his projects (like this one). Turns out it saved me some $, because it doesn't look promising.

As an indie publisher myself, I cannot fathom having a product delayed 10 years after you got nearly $50,000 raised for it.
