Adamantine shuriken

First Post
How much would 50 adamantine shuriken cost and weight. How long would it normally take to make them? How much damage would they do?

I've looked it over and keep getting conflicting answers inside my own skull, thought I'd ask for input.

Each shuriken would cost 3,001 gp and deal 1+1 damage; they are considered masterwok. They take as long to make as masterwork shuriken of any composition.

Depending on where you look, 10 would weigh either 1 pound or 3/4 of a pound.

for comparison

here's the price for ammunition (adamantine) ...

note: you'd hav to make a different item for long and short bow ammo ... short bows do 1d6 (a +1 natural enhancement) and long bows do 1d8 (a +2 natural enhancement).

Ammuntion dmg 1d8 or greater (per 50) 9,350 (or 187gp ea.)

Ammunition dmg 1d4 or 1d6 (per 50) 3,350gp (or 67gp ea.)

[edit: because the public demands no less! ;) ]

An enchancement? Wow! That must be like...an enhancement and an enchantment...like...all in one! Cool! :D Just pokin', Wolf. After reading Sean's rant regarding enhancements/enchantments, it was really funny to me. :)

The wording in the DMG suggests that only crossbow bolts, arrows, and sling bullets are considered 'ammunition' and enchantable in bundles of 50.

I would argue that blowgun needles or darts from MotW would be considered ammunition also.

Since shuriken appear to be intentionally excluded from the DMG's descriptive list of ammunition (p. 184), I'd say that you'd have to calculate the cost of each shuriken as a separate weapon. This is hideously expensive :( But the rate of fire makes it impossible to maintain any semblance of game balance otherwise.

pain in my arse!

sure thing! it's everything included!!! ...

k, will edit the post though (why do both words have such similiar spellings?)

en-chance-ment ... hmmm sure it's like a random one, choose which one ya want ...

sigh ... not a good day for typeing with fore-paws :)

Vaxalon: just thought I'd throw it out there for comparison ...

Yes, it's expensive. Still, some DMs (hey, Heavy G!) allow 3 shuriken to be enchanted* together.

* I know, SKR, but that's what the DMG says...
