How would you fine people create the Addams family in dnd terms?
I’d like to see the how family made in dnd terms if possible, I’m just not sure how to do it myself.

Given how little of the Addams Family is combat... I'm not sure D&D would be a good system to do it in. FATE might be a better choice.

during the 90s an Italian rpg magazine gave CoC stats for Addams family members. I just remember Morticia's Botany skill at -150% XD

Gomez - Swashbuckler Rogue

Morticia - Warlock, Undying Patron or maybe Archfey, Chain Pact (Thing is her familiar)

Wednesday - College of Whispers Bard

Lurch - Some kind of weird Monk/Barbarian/Fighter, or something. Something big and impossible to kill or stop, who needs no weapons.

Fester - A good foil to Gomez, he's a Battlemaster Fighter. He can keep up with Gomez in a duel, but is bigger, less charming and tricksy, and less quick.

Pugsley - I got nothin

Grandmama - Warlock, Great Old One, custom divination Pact Boon of some kind

I did once see a DM throw The Addams Family into a D&D game, at least in a cameo.

It was a Planescape game, with them basically living in a small planar domain in the Outlands. Since in Planescape, belief shapes reality, they basically lived in a small domain where their morbid philosophy gave them all essentially regeneration and Ysgard-like resurrections if they should die. It was basically the same as a Power's domain, except instead of a (known) power, it was their philosophy creating it.

When we stumbled across it, for a bit we'd feared we'd somehow fallen into Ravenloft. It was a somewhat amusing side encounter as comic relief in a more serious campaign.

Pugsley? Barbarian. He has clearly sadistic tendencies, does not seem extremely bright, and probably holds in a lot of rage. His name reminds me of pugilist, a word for boxer, so make him a brawler. Let him go into a rage and just wail on a berk with his fists.

i like it! And being poisoned by his sister that often must make him pretty tough!

My wife has suggested that he may instead be Wednesday's familiar. This explains why he seems to be killed by her offscreen every episode.

Holy hell, I love it.
The Addams may not be exposed to more combat eccentric feats in their series however they do portray combat abilities.

Next session I will be sending the players into a slaver's encampment under a Metropolis Sewage Line. To save the Addams. I used Cousin IT to entice them with "socket" gear. This way the gems in 5e have more value then just less weighted gold.

Of course, with out the spell to comprehend language, Cousin ITs encounter is a game of charades. However, I decided to give him a gentleman's attitude with an equivalence to Deadpools arsenal. As far as his arsenals can go in a fantasy world. In short, he'll be launching Homemade explosives through altered hand cross bows. Short sword damage with "acid splash" as shrapnel. In addition to 13 lvls theif for 5e's take on use magic device. So I may pimp him out with all goodies.

My challenge now is stat blocking the immediate family. I'll be working on that an hopefully sharing my thought on the concept in a later post.

Morticia's -150% to Botany skill is great. So is Pugs being a familiar.
