Administering Potion to Fallen Allys ?

Okay say a character falls over, on "0" HP or negative, and the party has no healing left to offer him.

Can another character lift his head up and pour a potion of healing down his neck.

The fallen ally then expends a healing surge through the swallowing of the potion.

We dont know if this will work with our ..... ahum.... Cleric.

And we are in the middle of a large battle.

Seems like a crappy use of your standard action when it would only take them a minor, but I guess there might be times when it would be worth it.
