I LOVED THAT COMMERCIAL!
I LOVED THAT COMMERCIAL!
I like this one, too. Although for me, I know exactly why - it was the very first thing I was aware of, playing on the TV in my room, when I came to in the hospital earlier this year. (When they put me under to intubate me, more than two days before, I was pretty sure I was going to die.) And, I like the tune.Arnwyn said:- I have a rather sick fondness for the Maxell House coffee commericals with a bunch of firefighters singing about their coffee to the tune of "Our House" (by Madness). I don't know why I like it so much, but it can't be healthy.
Those were great commericials, all of the Outpost.com ones.Dannyalcatraz said:But #3 on my list has yet to be mentioned: Outpost.com's Gerbil Cannon ad. The "CEO" was firing gerbils at a hole in middle of the "o" in the middle of a banner with the company's name on it...I forget why...but he kept missing.
BOOM! Thudsqueek! "Oops- missed!"
BOOM! Thudsqueek! "That was close!"
BOOM! Thudsqueek! "A little more to the left..."

No, no, not just you. It's horrific, gross and hilarious. Brings to mind harvesting elephants to make their feet into garbage cans.TracerBullet42 said:Now, I never actually saw this commercial, but I had it described to me so vividly and it just paints the most amazing picture in my mind...
It's a commercial for some shoes...
The commercial opens with someone asking about the shoes, and how do they make them to be so comfortable. Soft music begins to play as the scene of a beautiful meadow is shown and then cuts to a bunch of women prancing about on a hillside, wearing these ultra-comfortable shoes. Just then, a helicopter comes up over the edge of the hill, armed to the teeth. The women in the ultra-comfortable shoes begin to scream and scatter about. The soldiers repel down as the chopper opens fire on the fleeing ladies. Various scenes of the women being captured in nets and put down with gunfire. The commercial then ends with a shot of the shoes...with some bloody stumps of ankles still sticking out of them...
Horrific? Yes. Gross? Pretty much. Hilarious? Absolutely.
There's just something disturbingly funny about the idea of harvesting shoes...
Or maybe it's just me...
