Adv: A Night at the Opera; Judge TwoHeadsBarking

She stops and puts her hands down. "The Warden seeks you."
Arcana 13 on that Name

Incarnation's flames subdue at the mention. He feels something... wrong, but cannot place the reason.

The Warden is not a name known to me. Who is the entitiy and why am I sought?[sblock=OOC (Status/Tactics)]Re tactics: Nebten has a good idea on having back-ups.

Re statues: Incarnation or Qyn can have a look, or Hadrak if he has some Arcana. Incarnation has to finish up here first.[/sblock]

[sblock=Incarnation]The Warden is a name you know heard briefly but allot of people have identified themselves as Wardens through history.

You seem to recall someone using that as their title, somehow connected to the Jade Empire.[/sblock]

"The Warden sits in his grove north of the city. The winds show many paths and the path he seeks flows through you. If he fails. . ." The lady's eye's open revealing a starling green. "So fails Daunton."

"You have one week before his agents seek you out, changing the paths again."

History 22 on that tomb, esp. if connected to Mauros.

Incarnation's flames flare up again. He bows to the Lady. The gift of your guidance is appreciated. If there is a boon I may grant for this service, you need but ask.

"I will fall. You will save me." The Lady resumes her position of meditations as if that explained everything.

[sblock=Incarnation]I'm not sure what you mean by tomb, but a history 22 gives you. . .

The Warden is a dragonborn from the Jade Empire, possessing qualities linking him both to the arcane and the primal. It is said he fought the Oni for many years before he began travelling, seeking threats to nature and people.

It is said, he has most recently taken up residence in the forests north of Daunton. Due to his renown many have sought him ought for training or guidance. He is said to be less than helpful.[/sblock]

OOC: Read 'tomb' instead of 'grove'.

Incarnation bows and excuses himself.

Seeing Rurdev and hearing the story, he brings Qyn over a moment to examine the residuum. Perhaps the remains of a ritual?

OOC: Arcana to figure out if it was a ritual (and if so, what). Hopefully Qyn can assist/lead depending on what we roll. 18

Hadrak stands at the patron's entrance. He's polite and well mannered. He even polished his armor and wears it under a formal vest.

-''Madam... What a wonderful dress. Sir, have a good evening. Oh, you brough your children. Welcome, have fun.''

Qynn d'Cealis, Eladrin Swordmage 2

Qynn stands on the balcony and tries from there to spot hidden weapons or other unusual stuff by the patrons. He also examines the children for being disguised halflings..

Rurdev points out the residuum to Qynn and Incarnation. "C-Could be from a r-r-ritual. Not my area of e-e-expertise."

[sblock=ooc]Plan sounds good thus far guys.[/sblock]

[sblock=ooc]The following includes some interpretation and some autoing, in order to get things to where they need to be. I tired to incorporate what everyone said, into some kind of consensus. Given people's different playing schedule's it seemed silly to make you discuss starting positions for a few more days, just so everything was 100% clear.[/sblock]

Before people take positions Incarnation manages to get Qynn's attention to assist him in identifying the statues. In th end though, there just isn't enough time to determine anything clearly with such a small cue. The party is forced to assume their defensive tactics.

Dane takes the stage door left, the large doors on the 1st floor, with one guard. Another guard is sent to guard the stage door right, on the second floor. Qynn speaks with him briefly before slipping off to one of the balconies.

Incarnation takes his position in the rafters, and from up above gets a clear view of the stage, as well as the ominous statues. Rurdev begins his patrolling and the third guard sets himself to the same, though in a very public manner.

Hadrak sets himself right outside the main entrance, and the remaining guard takes the opposite end of the door, they are soon joined by Essam, who apparently will be greeting people and checking tickets. He no longer wears his belt but is wearing a bowtie and tuxedo shirt. Notably missing, is any pants.

As people start to arrive Hadrak is first to greet them and few people seem to notice the extra security. Hadrak does manage to overhear Essam introducing himself as Art Director however.

You may manage to pick out quite a few people of note including the ambassador from the Jade Empire, members of the noble houses, Mayor Brunt and his daughter, and of course Captain Coppernail. Coppernail is also being escorted by a young female, though something tells you they are not related. A man of fine dress, who holds himself highly is given a fair respect by some takes your notice. You overhear a name of Kadaj, though it is unfamiliar to all.

-''Madam... What a wonderful dress. Sir, have a good evening. Oh, you brough your children. Welcome, have fun.''

As the theatre begins to fill Rurdev shifts between stealth and trying to blend in with the crowd, whichever seems the best way to go unnoticed at the moment. Qynn also looks for those that may be disguised or look suspicious from his place in the balcony but none of the party notice anything obviously out of place.

Things settle down as the showtime nears. Qynn makes his way back to his position near the door stage right, and Hadrak moves just inside the lobby. The two balconies become filled with Coppernail, and his date, sitting above his statue, while Brunt and his daughter, take spots above the statue of Mauros.

The lights dim as crew members make their ways down the walls, placing a shade over the everburning torches. The audience takes their cue and turn silent.

A female dressed in white, flowing robes, slowing makes her way onto the stage. As she turns to face the audience a slow sad note begins to fill the room. The band takes their turn in the pit, and the opera commences. The words seem to be a mix of draconic and Imperia, but even when you cannot understand their is a surreal beauty to it.

[sblock=Inspirational Music]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZJB5Rqc1m0Y&feature=player_embedded[/sblock]

As things progress it seems that nothing id actually going to happen. The musics intensity begins to peak as the Lady of the Winds crosses the stage and stands right above the trapdoor. A high note is hit, and held, and suddenly the door opens beneath her and she tumbles from sight. The two statues seem to come alive, women scream and more lights appear in the theatre. To top it all off, two small carvings of cherubs, seem to peel themselves off the wall, taking flight.
