"That's right mate. Whatever done the lad might just be waiting around for us, eh? Best be careful" Following One-Who-Waits' lead Yimayngurr scans the area for any movement, or anything out-of-place. He then turns around to keep watch in back of the party.

Slime, you say? Hmm, that's probably not good. Let's see... slime could mean slugs? snails? squid? No, definitely not squid.... dungeoneering = 26 !Oh, CLEAR slime. Does it have tiny bubbles in it and smell a bit like olives? It could be starslime. Far Realm creatures have nested here.

"Whah yew need maygic? We got whayat we need rayat heyah." Eithal pulls a bedroll from her pack and opens it up. Without the slightest bit of hesitation, she lifts the lifeless hemicorpse onto the bedroll, "Pooah chahld yew showah picked a bayad way tah go."

Eithal finishes transfering the entrails and wraps the bedroll around the body, finally binding it, from end to end, with a rope. She then hoists the make-shift body bag over her shoulder, "Alrayaht nayow. Hayow dew we gayet bayack?"

Psais quietly whispers prayers over the fallen young noble as he helps Eithal to bind the body. When that task was done he stood and pondered on the goliath's question, "I've been trying to keep track of which turnings we've taken, but we've taken so many now that I'm not sure if I trust my memory."

Jade keeps a watch out as the others go about what they where going. However her ears perk up at the mention of slime. "Slime?" Jade makes her way over to take a look...

As your team looks around the room you make certain the there are no lurking monsters in the room though you do have the feeling of being watched.

[sblock="Grigo and Jade"]
The Slime is a familiar mucus often seen in areas that are populated by horrors of the far realm, mind flayers and aboleths. Grigo knows that arcanists theories that the slime is leakage of the natural material of the Far Realm.

[sblock="Yimayngurr and One-who-Waits"]
Your scan of the room finally reveals the source of the uneasy being watched feeling.

In the corner is what appears at first to be a spider. However on closer inspection, it is clear it's a perfectly human eye, less than an inch across, with 12 spidery legs letting it walk across the wall. As you look at it, it blinks at you.

"It seems that this worthy company has attracted some attention," says One-Who-Waits, making the faintest of gestures toward the eye-spider in the corner. "Is it some wizard's thing? To his great shame, this one is painfully ignorant of arcane matters."

Eithal sighs and puts the make-shift body bag down gently, "Sorrih sah. Yew'll jus' hayave tah wait a li'l ole' minute whahl Eithal mayeks shore it's safe for huh frayends tah take yew howme." Etihal puts her hand to her axe in as unthreatening a way as she can without sacrificing her ability to bring it round in a dangerous arc if need be. Turning to the spider-looking thing, she addresses it a little too condescendingly, "Ah don' s'pose yew tayalk oh nothin' dew yew? Yew'll hayave tah 'scuse me bein' cayerfull an' all. Ah'm not tew found of spahdahs, mahsayelf. Yew see, may brothah got bit bah wone a lowng tahm agow? An' evah seyence thayen, Ah've jus' been scayered tah dayeth of 'um." The creature doesn't seem to be buying it, so Eithal just get's ready.[sblock=Translation, Actions, Initiative]I don't suppose you talk or nothin' do you? You'll have to excuse me being careful and all. I'm not too fond of spiders, myself. You see, my brother got bit by one a long time ago? And ever since then, I've just been scared to death of them.

Initiative = 1d20=6
Free: Drop the body
Minor: Draw Axe
Free: Parlay with ettercap (or whatever it is) Diplomacy 1d20-1 = 5
Standard: If the creature is adjacent, strength of stone. 1d20+7+1(Axe bonus) =23; 1d12+5+2(axe bonus)=11. Hits AC 23 for 11 damage and Eithal gets 4 temp HP. Ooooh. I hope that thing attacks her.
If not, charge the creature with the same rolls, adding 1 to the attack roll hitting AC24 and no temp HP are gained.[/sblock]

[sblock="OOC"]
The eye doesn't come adjacent to Eithal, it's only about an inch in size hanging on the wall.
so you charge.
[/sblock]

Eithal charges and slams her axe into the wall. Sparks fly as metal strikes stone and the spider eye creature is splated to nothingness the same as if she had attacked a mundane spider with her huge axe.

Eithal turns to face the rest of the group (a little embarrassed). "Ah hate spidahs!" Eithal shrugs, "An' he was lookin' ayat me all funny."[sblock=OOC]Sorry :blush:. I (meaning I, the player) didn't know if it was planning to attack or do something dangerous. I also missed the 1 inch description (thinking that was the size of the creature's eye, not the creature itself).[/sblock]
