Cairn sees no signs of spying.

In fact, as he carefully looks at the room, he notices that the room is specifically designed for privacy. He cannot hear any noise from outside the room except when someone enters or exits. The one exception to this being the open doors to the balcony where some extremely faint outside street noises from below can be heard. And he notices that the hallway door is of thicker material and possibly the walls as well.

It appears that this establishment is very conscious of its guests' privacy.

[sblock=ooc] Also waiting for wine. And waiting to see if someone important comes in to speak with us after our mini-scene out front [/sblock]

A short while after Baern leaves, a Kenku serving girl brings in a tray with the drinks and closes the door behind her.

After placing down the drinks, she heads back to the door and grabs the doorknob:

"You shouldn't have come here. They'll spot you sooner or later, and they don't care who gets killed in the process. If you want more answers, you'll need to head downstairs through the kitchen. Go to the room with the old vat in it."

Before anyone can stop her, she quickly opens the door to head back out.

Nyar watches the kenku intently as she speaks. After she leaves, he stands and gets his wand from the belt pouch, then holds it up his sleeve. It shouldn't be readily noticeable, but more easily accessed if needed.

"I know this may be a trap, but I think we should go. I wish we had a bag of holding to store the gear, but we may have to do with what we have."

[sblock=reading the kenku] I'm going to roll an insight check on the girl's sincerity and intent [/sblock]

Baern continues around to the public room, trying to stay in the shadows at the sides of the room. He scans for anyone familiar or suspicious, but the social setting seems so foreign to him that he gets little information before heading back.

Nyar cannot tell if the girl is sincere or not, but he can tell that she seems to be afraid. He cannot tell if the girl is afraid of the adventurers, or something else.

[sblock=Baern]
It might just be his imagination, but a few of the Kenku employees appear to be watching him. When he looks directly at them, they look away or are suddenly busier than an instant before.
