"Many thanks, M'lady."

Nyar walks over and sits as requested.

A recent article from the Sharn Inquisitive catches his attention.

"This random murder business is just sad. I hope they found out who or what is behind it."

[sblock=ooc] I thought characters needed reviewed when they leveled and finished an adventure or at the DM's request? Nyar should be ready, let me know if you see any problems KD [/sblock]

I'll take a look eventually. I'm currently swamped.

However, there is a new rule here at LEB that got approved in September. Reviews occur:

* When the PC is created
* When a PC concludes his association with a DM (and doesn't retire).
* If the current DM requests it.
* If the PC is revamped (typically on first gained level).

So, you guys are mostly good to go unless you did a revamp in which case, you'll need to request an approval. I will look at each PC in the next few weeks and I also look them over quite a bit during encounters, so we should be ok.

PS. Just FYI. We were handling your Magic Missile incorrect. There are virtually no bonuses to the damage in the game system since it does not have a damage roll.

A portly halfling with dark curly hair waddles up to the receptionist's desk, talks to her for a moment, and then heads to the group.

"Hello. My name is Bolger. I hear that you would like to speak with me?" he inquires.

"Greeting Bolger. My name is Nyar Harbor. My comrades and I have come to speak of a fellow under House Jorasco's employment, Melkin Giadin."

Nyar studies Bolger and his reaction carefully.

[sblock=insight] Another excellent roll!: 1d20+9 → [3,9] = (12) Roll Lookup [/sblock]

Narvala hadn't been present when the others had arranged their mission, so she was content to watch quietly for now. She didn't know what questions to ask. But that didn't keep her from paying attention.

"Melkin Giadan? Hmmmm. I have no personal knowledge of such an employee, but that doesn't mean much. House Jorasco is very extensive. If such a person works for us, it would take time to look him up in the archives. Of course, I wouldn't go do that without the proper authorization. Could I inquire as you why you are here asking about one of our employees?" Bolger asks, raising an eyebrow and looking the group over.

If the original players remember, Melkin Giadan was a friendly associate of Dalvach from the north. The rest of the party did not know him. The one you met also (presumably) turned out to be a shapeshifter (you are not sure if the one you met in the tavern is also the one you saw in the Pit), so it's possible that he may not (or may) be the real Melkin Giadan.

Bolger does not appear to be hiding anything.

Nyar's right hand fingers his goggles as he talks, "Yes, I was afraid of that. This Melkin fellow was an associate of my dwarven companion Dalvach. Melkin hired us on House Jorasco's behalf to investigate the disappearance of three Jorasco associates that went missing while investigating the Key Sip down in lower Menthis."

"While there, we witnessed Melkin tansform into a changling. Based on your response, this changling was likely Melkin even from when we met him up in the Tavern Shard."

"I will say, we did discover some dubious plot involving criminal activity. There is an attempt to poison the populace of Sharn with potions laced with Dream Lilly."

Dream lily, you know the flower likely, but I recognized it and put the pieces together with Nyar. I'm not sure what the plans are, but would you know more if we had a sample of their concoction? Baern chimes in for the first time.
