OOC: Just waiting on drothgery for Narvala's list of equipment taken. He should be back from vacation tomorrow, so we should finally be back on track soon.

OOC:
I can't think of a good way to conceal a staff implement, so that's got to stay wherever we're stashing items that can't be easily carried.

On the other hand, a little clever tailoring ought to be able to disguise her cloak of distortion as a cape. I'm not sure if a dress that works for getting into where we're heading could be sufficiently concealing to hide leather armor under.

A disguise check would need to be done to hide leather armor. Leather armor would be fine for a bodyguard, but probably not so much for a female guest.

As for the cloak, it shouldn't be a problem. Wealthy people acquire magical items as well.

I will need a list of exactly what Narvala is bringing with her.

OOC: (unexpectedly had to work this afternoon)
Okay, so
storing with the rest of the party's oversized items

The group walks up to the Sky Nest. With their nicer clothes on and cleaned up, the team doesn't notice anyone staring at them at the moment. They appear to blend in quite well.

As they enter the establishment, there is a human male behind a podium in front of them. Behind the man to the right and left are the two doorways that were seen earlier.

There are some nice portrait and landscape pictures on the walls of this hallway. Most of the portraits are of various Kenku and the scenes are of cliff faces where creatures, possibly Kenku but the perspective is from too far away, are flying around.

"May I help you sir?" the man asks, looking directly at Nyar.

Nyar snorts haughtily, then turns his head to the side.

He thinks to his colleagues *I'm new to this rich guy routine, maybe one of you two ladies should request a table to eat. Oh and make up a good name, too. Keep your eyes open everyone, any bit of information we can glean, we can use*

"Then keep silent whole time. Or listen to what ladies think and repeat after them. This is male club, it would look strange if female speaks." thinks Cairn

*Great observation Cairn, on it.*

What kind of boldness is this?! Door Servant, you do not address the master. Veruza seems just capable of holding herself back from slapping the bouncer.

She spins like the winds from a vortex, all fire as she turns to Baern, This is what you're hired for, why am I even having to speak? Go on short stack, use your mouth to tell the door servant who you represent, and what we are doing here. Veruza snaps her head back toward the door, glaring forward,, shaking her head and purposely avoiding eye contact with anyone "below" her.

She takes the moment of stunned silence that settles to make a hurry up plan with the group. *Nyar, don't talk to anyone unless they are "of your stature." Baern we'll help you, but you're the mouth of the group now. Sorry about the rudeness... Narvala quick upper class last name for Nyar, tell Baern who we are and why we are here, you're the only one that is actually upper class here I think...*

Crit diplomacy assist...

OOC: The thought of Nyar hobbling along with two attractive young ladies on each arm, flanked by armed guards... actually strikes me as very funny knowing the group. Poor Nyar... ha ha ha, and Narvala looking like an escort... HA! ok ok back to the game...

*I know how to do elegant and formal in Flamekeep. This is something altogether different. Still... just add an ir' to your family name and it's likely no one will know enough to challenge it. I know my own lineage back to its founding, but there are hundreds of titled families in Thrane I wouldn't recognize off hand, to say nothing of other lands. In fact, try and exaggerate your Aundairan accent; they'll attribute anything odd to you being a foreigner. Adventurers usually have more coin on hand than most lower nobility anyway.*
OOC: (Forgot about the telepathic link when I initially posted)

From Cairn come thoughts, much different then his normal controlled glacial thoughts, darker, chaotic, frenzied.
"Tell them, use the word, yes, yes, use it. Abomination, so sweet. The picture: tell them it's Rhapsody in the skies, who can I talk about Rhapsody with. Then you can talk and devo...SILENCE!" last part feels like a block of stone falling with utter mental silence following, while from Cairn's joints small puff of dead gray mist can be seen quickly evaporating in clear air.
