Cairn spreads his limbs, unaccustomed to not being on the ground. A groan can be heard, but as this slows his fall somewhat, when Kenku gets close he strikes out. Even this far off the ground, Weight of Earth is palpable.

"Everyone, get closer to the tower if you can, maybe we can slide more then fall once we get there. Baern, try to grab one so others can focus on the distant one."


Stay close to me, Narvala and Nyar. Baern shouts as he assumes a defensive stance with his handaxe while tucking the cleaver into his belt. He looks with emnity at the nearest Kenku.

It's the PCs turn.


Everyone falls 6 squares straight down during their turn. The PCs won't actually move on the background (ScorpiusRisk had some type of rolling background planned, but I suck too much at graphics to even attempt it). In other words, Baern is on square G11. If he decides to not make any of the special movements next round, he'll fall 6 squares, but still be on square G11 next round (so that he stays in the middle of the map).

This falling does not take up any movement actions. Shifting is not allowed. Normal movement is not allowed. Running is not allowed. The PCs are falling.

Once a turn, as a minor action, a PC can direct their fall in ONE of the following ways:

1. Fall diagonally for up to three squares out of the six (this is equivalent to moving 3 squares to the right or left max, and/or moving forward or backwards 3 squares).
2. Fall an additional 2 squares (for example, moving from the G row to the H or I row)
3. Fall 2 squares less (for example, moving from the G row to the E or F row).

[MENTION=2011]KarinsDad[/MENTION], question about blasts. Now that we are in 3D, would blast be treated as a cube or still a square 3 x 3, 1 square high? Since there are only three opponents for now, it's not important since you can always angle the plane to hit three, but it could be important of we're trying to avoid friendly fire...

OOC: Can I use my immediate reaction of Battle Awareness? It is Nyar's turn and he is adjacent to me as he moves away.
Battle Awareness: Once per encounter, whenever an enemy that is adjacent to Baern shifts or makes an attack that does not include him as a target, he can make a melee basic attack against that enemy as an immediate interrupt.
 

OOC: Kenku 1 AND 2 should be marked as they are both were adjacent to Cairn last turn. Sorry about not stating it one by one, will do. In this case, I'm missing on one attack when Kenku attacked with OA, but I'll let you decide if Cairn gets this attack.
