If you have a mutant and a Psionic playing. Both at Grade 5.... then after 130 xp the psionic gains two careers and the mutant gain the second and third tier of his major mutation...

The next time you hand out xp for a standard challenge that both characters participated in... do you give the psionic 7xp and the Mutant 5 or do you give both 7?

We are just wondering since this is about to come up.

The obvious answer is everyone's xp is individualized for their grade... my players are just VERY aware of character parity and the different numbers are going to throw them especially since in many situations they will be dealing with the same enemies, taking the same risks, and either will expect the other to hold up their end of conflict. Less reward for these conflicts will be a pea under one of their butts : )

Thanks

The obvious answer is the correct one, yeah. The character with the mutant powers is a lower grade and so needs fewer XP to grade up. In other words, all PCs are getting 10% of what they need - it's not actually less reward.
