Sabynha turned to her companions, astonished, "My reflection... just answered me. She says she knows how to open the door."

Her astonishment turned to excitement, and she began trying to speak, but it came out in some strange patois of vistani and the common tongue.

Wat, still submerged up to his waist looks at his own reflection with a perturbed look on his own face.

"And I suppose you knew about this to? Well... Why don't you actually make yourself useful and open the door if your so smart!"

Wat's reflection frowns back at him and then tuts him with his finger like a mother might tut a rude child. Then his reflection completely detaches from where he stands in the water and flits over the surface to where the palace gateway is reflected. The reflection pushes against the door's reflection opening the way. In kind, the actual palace door grinds open leaving the way clear for the party to enter.

Rain performed a bowed thanks of her own and Zuri gave her own reflection a cheery wave as the doors opened.

OOC: OK, so in Italy and posting from Florence . All good so far, but cannot post quite as easily as i hoped. Maybe in the next step it will be easier.

Congratulations on parenthood, Nemesis Destiny!

At the top of the stairs that lead to the mirrored doors, a smaller set of steps goes into a gand hall beyond. Even from outside, you can tell the hall is a place of air and light. Broad rays of sunlight stream from skylights above, causing the white marble to glow. In the room, upon a large, ornate rug, four chairs stand around a table set with a crystal decanter and four glasses. At the other end of the hall, twin jets of water burst from a circular fountain and spiral through the air, as though the water is alive. Two doors exit the chamber, one to the left and another to the right. From the left door comes the squawking of birds.

As you move to enter the hall, the female elf warrior statues that flank the door intone in perfect unison, "Enter in peace."

"Well, that sounds rather ominous. I wonder if it means our weapons should be secured, or left behind." Sabynha rifled through her bag for the silk scarf she used to tie the peace-bond on her blade when they met the unicorns.

She muttered, "I hope it is the former," as she began to tie her blade to its scabbard. As before she was careful to do it in such a way that it could be released easily and quickly.

Rain and Zuri follow suit and sheathe their weapons, not seeing much point in picking another fight that could be avoided at this stage.

Rain is deeply concerned about this turn of events and says so.
